Aamir stepped onto the central stage. It was the first match of the day, and his was one of the first three to begin. His opponent was already waiting—the crimson-haired boy from Carnelia.
The crowd murmured with curiosity as the boy adjusted the high-tech gauntlets covering his entire arms. Two cylindrical pipes—more like silencers—extended from his elbows, and similar enhancements were integrated into his chest plate and shoes.
The host's voice echoed across the arena, "For the audience and participants' information, using gear like armor pieces is allowed in the battle! So, if contestant Aamir from Mini Group B wishes to use any gear, he is free to do so."
Aamir gave a casual shrug.
"Well, that's good to know," he said calmly, "but I'll fight without them."
