Considering the emergency, all of the cadets were immediately ordered to gather in the clock tower, so everybody that was present did the same. Those who were yet to come were also instructed to arrive at the tower.
It was the right front room; an old guy was standing on the wooden stage. His face was full of dripping sweat with tightened face tilted downwards, he was tapping on his earpiece fiercely, it looked like he was desperately trying to contact someone. His anxious behaviour was not helping in calming the fearful and uneasy youngsters.
"What the hell is even going on?" Niall muttered with worried eyes, looking around the front room.
"I-I don't know! We should just hope for the best!" Emma replied to ease his mind.
The hall was filled with the echoes of cadets troubled voice.
TAP! TAP! TAP!
Finally, the old man silenced the crowd by tapping on the wooden stage with his shoes.
"Ahem! Silence everybody! As not everyone of you knows me so I will introduce myself again! My name is Captain Bernard. I am a captain and trainer at Milky way's Heinsberg, I know all of you are also surprised by what is happening, even though we have informed your leaders about the situation but I know that merely giving some of the information is not enough for them to explain the whole conditions. So, I will explain everything to you, to the extent I am able to."
Silenced filled the crowd with some wondrous gasps.
"The Emerald country exists on three cities, the city of tourism 'Proroda', The city of innovation 'Lorein', and the capital city 'Jadestum'. Your mission was solely based for the Lorein city and even now it will be the same. There are sudden explosions occurring all around the country, the objective zone cleared of Lorein city due to the effort of Space patrol is also caught in those explosions. You will be continuing your mission there as well as it was under your area."
Bernard formed a scowl on his face with tilting his head upwards. It was like he was listening to a message.
"And I am very displeased to inform you that the connection between Aquegor planet and Space patrol cannot be formed due to unknown reasons. But we are still desperately trying to be successful in establishing a contact. As long as we are not able to form a means of communication, you will continue your mission till you get any command from your respective Heinsberg institutes. We are expecting great loyalty from you, "in the name of KING, I hope you came out as victor!"
"There is news of multiple spectacles witnessing in different areas throughout the country, your job is to get rid of them, this is all under the emergency crisis manual. You can go out right now, with occupying your space pod in which you landed on this planet. All of you are ordered to spread in the whole Lorein city, the divisions up to 40 will be going to the effected zone of the former city and divisions continuing from 40 to onwards will be going to cleared objective area. The army of Emerald country is responsible for remaining two cities. Reload your rifles and check your swords and equipment, your mission is not completed yet despite it has started from the beginning."
"That is all, I hope the best for you!" Captain Bernard gave a salute and walked away after turning back.
"He didn't explain why I cannot make the crisis call!" Erick muttered.
I glanced back to found Hoover who was standing right behind me, he had a thoughtful expression on his face. Why are there explosions going on all around the country and just who is the one conducting all of these terrorism acts.
"Explosions are already a big problem for us so why the hell spectacles have started to appear one by one?" Tom screamed and grabbed his head with both hands.
"Hurry up, everyone has already started to dock in their pods, we don't have enough time." Ellie said after looking at everyone leaving the front room.
...
"Oye, has everyone docked in? We are about to take off!" Niall said after taking the control of the plane.
"W-w-we... we are going at the place where there is sure trouble waiting for us! Shit! Shit!" Tom complained and covered his mouth with his trembling hands.
This whole scenario is completely different from the time when we arrived here for this mission. Everybody is freaked out and sweating buckets. I guess that's what it means to face an unknown danger!
"Hey leader! How are we supposed to fight a spectacle!? Weren't we told to ignore fighting a spectacle as much as possible!"
Xaden squinted his green colour cat eyes and asked with a troubled face.
Our pod took off successfully along with five other pods. First the divisions which had to deal with cleared objective area were taking off in descending order. So naturally ours was the first pod to fly.
"I am going to declare who would fight a spectacle class deathodds if they caught its sight and who will not!" Emma responded to Xaden's worried question.
"It better not be me, it better not be me!" Erick muttered in silence but loud enough for everyone to hear it.
Emma looked at Erick with forming a pout and a scowl.
"Don't worry, I am giving the role of fighting based on the caliber abilities, yours is suitable for protecting others."
Hearing Emma's words formed a relieved smile on Erick's face.
"So now I am announcing who will fight and who will not. The ones who are the best option for dealing with a spectacle is me, Elizabeth, Norde, Seth and Xaden. Other than us five all of you should retreat if you saw a spectacle, understood!"
I will be in the fighting department? I hope I am not unlucky enough to face a spectacle class deathodd. But knowing my luck nothing can be said for sure.
