Raven logged in and emerged inside the Inner Sanctum. The marble chamber flickered with protective wards, a brief moment of calm compared to the chaos outside.
A sharp, thunderous crack rang through the sky.
He paused. Tilted his head. Then narrowed his eyes.
"Third day," he muttered to himself. "That's the golem."
Without hesitation, he sprinted toward the exit.
Outside the Sanctum gates, he raised his hand.
"Come, Duskrunner."
Duskrunner shimmered into existence, shadow trailing off his frame.
Raven vaulted onto his back in one smooth motion. "Move."
The wolf leapt into a rooftop arc, bounding forward.
Ahead, past the city blocks, a dark giant tore through barricades.
"There's our enemy for today," Raven growled, eyes fixed on the towering silhouette.
Duskrunner growled. "It's even bigger than Emberforge Titan."
They bolted.
Then Raven saw her—Fairyblade, darting through alleys with wind fairies at her heels, sprinting full-speed.
