Chapter 137 - Pregnant wife (137)

It had been months since Soul Society fell. Gabriel lost count of the months, 'cause frankly, he couldn't care much.

His spies were relaying info as needed, and any attempt that Soul Society made at spying was found out—because of a simple rule Neliel had in place.

It was fun.

He just knew it had been months since he painted the sky of Soul Society red with fire.

Since he whispered a name the world forgot—and never should have remembered.

Now?

Now he was grinning like a lunatic as he sat beside Tier Harribel, watching her finish the last bite of her meal, one hand resting gently on the curve of her now visibly pregnant stomach.

Yes, he had knocked her up. If there was ever a good time to get pregnant, now would be the time. Yes, right after war. He didn't mind, really. He gave his wife a kiss.

Hm, he loved this.

The Hollow Queen of Hueco Mundo had changed. Her spiritual pressure remained overwhelmingly dominant, but her hollow hole seemed to have vanished, replaced with a faint golden glow across her midsection. She still felt like an Arrancar, but her body had evolved in ways never before seen in Hueco Mundo.

Hm, maybe as a human she died during childbirth and her biggest regret was her inability to have a child—and since currently she was pregnant, that hole vanished. Hm.

Good to know.

"How is it?" he asked, head tilted, eyes shining with affection.

Harribel wiped her mouth with practiced elegance. "Delicious. You've been... attentive."

Well duh, he was—his wifey was pregnant.

He smiled, giving his wife a kiss. "Only the best for my heir. Every cell in that Vastolorde steak was handpicked for optimal nutritional yield. You're eating condensed evolution."

Yes, he was now mass-producing Vastolorde. They were, like, very, very easy to make. Anyone who wasn't competent was turned into food and so on.

If he so much as smelled some kind of malice, then yeah, it was gg.

From the corner, Sun-Sun leaned lazily against the wall, sipping tea like it was wine. "Mmm~ so that's how you treat a pregnant woman, huh? Maybe I should give it a try."

"Really now?" Hm, he could tell what this woman was thinking, and no, he wouldn't get two women pregnant at the same time. He wanted to divide his care, equally-ish.

"Sure," she teased, batting her lashes with faux innocence. "Wouldn't it be tragic if your favorite snake got lonely?"

"That's awfully generous of you to offer your womb to the cause."

"All in the name of loyalty~" she said in her usual teasing manner. Hm, yeah, she would gladly bounce on it even without pregnancy on the table.

He offered a sweet smile. "Not now."

She fake-pouted, lips drawn in a dramatic frown. "Tch. No fun. Guess I'll just slither away..." She really acted sad here.

"Maybe later I'll stuff your muffin."

Sun-Sun gave a pleased little hum. "That better be a promise, your majesty." Wow, she really knew how to act. How cute.

Gabriel turned his attention back to Harribel, who had settled deeper into the plush lounge, her hand guiding his gently to her stomach.

"...You feel that?"

And he did.

Thump-thump.

A heartbeat.

His child's heartbeat.

While she could feel the child growing inside her, he could see it—with his eyes. He could see the child's shape, more like its soul, since she was quite early in her pregnancy. The child looked like... a basic Hollow... heh.

Was it going to go through all the stages of Hollow evolution in her womb or something? Hm, this was odd.

He felt the kid should be humanoid, but due to something with Gabriel's genetics, this was happening.

Hm.

Yet—

'So tiny. So new. So his.'

He nearly squealed.

Like a twisted, corrupted version of a proud new dad, he pressed his forehead against her stomach with wide eyes, whispering, "So cute. Why are you so cute?"

Harribel raised an eyebrow but said nothing, smiling ever so faintly.

She felt her stomach react. Heh, could the child hear his voice so early into its development?

She looked peaceful.

"I've been thinking of names," she said suddenly.

Gabriel looked up from her belly. "Oh?"

"If it's a girl," Harribel mused, "...Maelshaera Sanguinoso."

Gabriel blinked. A wickedly beautiful name.

'Maelshaera'—a forgotten name from ancient texts. A fallen seraph associated with oceans of blood and shattered tides.

{Out here giving angels names to demons, I know, I am perfect.}

'A perfect fusion of divine rebellion and watery dominion.'

"And if it's a boy?" he asked.

She let her eyes close.

"Aurelón Infierno Sanguinoso," she whispered.

He rather liked that name—found it quite fitting.

Gabriel grinned. "I love them both."

"Then those are the names," she said.

He then gave her a kiss.

Not of lust, or hunger, or power.

Something human.

As human as he could get as the vessel to literal cosmic Satan.

He pulled her close, resting her head against his shoulder, brushing strands of her hair away. She accepted his touch, holding his hand over her belly as if sharing a sacred moment.

Sun-Sun quietly slipped out, giving them space. 'Cause she knew how to read a room.

"I don't understand why you're thanking me," Gabriel finally said, kissing her temple. "I'm the one who should be on my knees."

Harribel smiled again, eyes half-lidded.

"You gave me peace. You gave me this child. You gave Hueco Mundo stability. Something we've never had... until you. I never regretted making you my husband."

Gabriel blinked.

And for once, the madness in his eyes dimmed—just a little.

She didn't take him in to tame him.

She took him in to trust him.

That hit different.

They kissed again. Slower. Longer.

A/N place yours bets now, which one of his kids will be the stronguest.

His kid with Harribel, Nelial, Sun-Sun,Apaci or Mila Rose. {The name are written in the order of the birth}

Keep in mind, the kids will inherit both trait, some his with Harribel would have water an fire, but his hell fire instead, his with Nelial will have her authority and some of idle transfiguration, so on and so fourth
