Chapter 128 - My name is.. (128)

Now back to Gabriel.

Gabriel would be seen dodging attacks.

Hm, the ink did land on him a couple of times, and he did, in fact, get struck once or twice.

Every time he got struck, he felt like a piece of himself was being sealed away.

His idle transfiguration seemed able to bring that piece back, but he had to actively touch himself... okay, that sounded crazy. He needed to actively have his palm touching a part of his body to do so.

And it took time—roughly like 5 seconds or so.

And Ichibei... after seeing Gabriel do it the first time, was not letting him do it twice.

So anytime Gabriel attempted to touch himself, the monk would stop him... Ichibei would absolutely not let this young man touch himself.

...

...

Anyway, Gabriel, not willing to perish, began to use his mouth stomach in order to chant. He needed this old monk away from him.

He needed space to touch himself, dammit.

So his mouth stomach began chanting.

"Hadō #99: Goryūtenmetsu!"

Three dragons could be seen. Instead of the usual color, those dragons seemed to be reddish in color.

They looked like beasts, their heads being connected somehow, looking more like a hydra than three different dragons.

His power is influencing the spell.

That was a pretty easy conclusion to come to.

Anyway, Gabriel launched his spell, trying to get some distance between him and the overly-friendly monk.

Yet, as the attack neared the monk, he just swiped his blade, and the ink fell on the spell. Gabriel watched as the monk completely shattered his attack under his brush and ink.

Why did he have such an overpowered ability? Gabriel would think.

While he himself had the ability to transfigure souls, it was like the kettle calling the... you know the saying.

"How pathetic, ar el Sanguinoso," Ichibei's booming voice resonated through the battlefield. "Without your name, without your meaning, what are you? Merely another fool challenging the heavens!"

Hm. Since when was this a Chinese cultivation story? The fuck did the heavens have to do with any of this?

Man acting like Gar el was defying god.

Hm.

Well, if God was truly defending such scum, then he didn't deserve to be God to begin with.

Gabrel didn't care if he sounded selfish—this Soul King was starting to sound more like a puppet for the royal family than anything.

"Hadō #91: Senju Koten Taihō!"

Gar el used everything he had, starting with high-level Kidō. A storm of crimson energy spheres spiraled, exploding with enough force to shake dimensions.

"Bakudō #99, Kin & Bankin!"

Golden bindings of ancient power surged forth, their form distorted, malevolent, twisted by ar el's demonic transfiguration.

"Forbidden Kidō: Kōtetsu Enmetsu (Infernal Iron Obliteration)"

A blade-shaped rift tore open, vomiting forth jagged black spears that screamed like the damned.

"Futility."

ar el watched as the man once again used his brush and ink to utterly negate his attempt at putting him on the backfoot. Well, on a good note, he could now touch himself in peace.

Though, as he prepared to fix his soul—

"Hadō #100: Gorogōtenmetsu (Five Thunder Destruction)!"

A divine tempest of lightning crashed down, bolts infused with the power of names—the power of meaning. Lightning that could strip even existence away.

The fuck was that BS.

ar el had to use Danku... like 50 of them—and only one strike of that lightning shattered all 50 barriers in an instant. And he was still hit... hard.

The fuck.

And as if the monk wanted him to die quickly, he pushed his advantage.

"Forbidden Kidō: Tenbatsu no Zetsumei (Divine Judgment of Annihilation)!"

A single hand gesture, and the sky shattered. Divine kanji engraved themselves into reality, forming sacred spears of execution.

ar el tried to dodge, yet... he couldn't move. No matter how much he tried, he just couldn't move at all.

Like—at all.

"Die, beast. When you are reborn, do not be as stubborn."

As the ink fell on ar el and his body began descending to the ground, he had already lost consciousness.

If only he were at 100%—fighting Yamamoto before fighting the monk was a bad idea. He needed to play it smart.

ar el didn't want to die.

ar el floated in a pool of darkness.

He could not see anything.

He felt cold... the world felt dark. Very dark and unfamiliar.

Yet in that darkness, he saw something... bound by chains that were seemingly endless. ar el made eye contact with a being in the dark—a being who seemed to be chained by thousands, if not millions, of links, bound to the deepest, darkest layer of Hell.

ar el looked at the being.

The being looked back at him.

{Do you wish for power?}

Yes.

There was no hesitation in his voice. If he died here, his subordinates would be left to fend for themselves against those monsters.

There was no way he would not let that happen, especially with his wife's life on the line.

{Hehe... ahahahahahaha}

What could be seen as the beast laughing like a monster was all ar el saw.

{Good. I will take care of all your trouble, Kagehito.}

The beast smiled a bit.

"What is your name?"

The being smiled, looking at ar el before saying—

{My name is...}

A/N Also.... Anytime Gabriel is hit by ink, one letter from his name gets cut, and I choose randomly, reason is at the name was like ar el
