Chapter 1 - The start of a new legend.

(Shion)

Right now, there is a huge festival going on to boost morale, as well as to celebrate 30 years of living here without any major problems.

But that isn't what we're here about, is it?

But of course not for it is this boy whose face is so intertwined with this world.

People may refer to me as a troll, but how can I not enjoy the reactions of others who have grown tired of all the mundane pleasures in life?

But if you haven't figured out who I am yet, well, I'll give you a hint.

I'm a magician who can go in between any dimension, any universe that I choose with my magic.

Figure it out yet.

Sigh, kids these days don't even understand a good old man, I swear

But don't worry, kids, for I won't make this introduction that long. Now, let me tell you my name.

Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg is my name; boy now tell me, who are you?

My name is Janue Arc, sir.

Zelretch: now Janue, tell me, what do you want to be when you grow up?

Jaune: I want to be a hero.

Zelretch: oh, but you do know that those who become heroes either die early or fall into despair. It's common to heroes, but there are a couple of exceptions. Just know that those exceptions aren't always as they seem.

Jaune: oh but why?

Zelretch: The more good you want to do, the more the world wants to fight you for it. That's what makes a hero a hero.

Jaune: so I just have to break the rule that wants to hurt everyone, including myself, Right?

Zelretch: hahaha yes, yes, ha. My apologies. It's been a while since I've laughed that hard and since someone has given me a response like that.

Zelretch: Okay, now that you made me happy, this deck of cards ok.

Jaune: oh, you don't need to do that, sir and those cards look very expensive.

Zelretch: ah, Don't worry, kid. I have plenty of these at my house, and plus, these hold something very special, the very stories of those legends, some of which you've never even heard, and some are heroes you came and imagined but are also some twisted villains as well.

Zelretch: this is the Saber class card. They're usually the ones that wheeled the blade or some type of bladed object, or they're just very good blacksmiths.

Jaune: So even blacksmiths can become legends?

Zelretch: Why, of course, they can. Who would forge the hero's mighty weapons if they were just made half properly and they snapped when they really needed it?

Jaune: That's pretty fair I suppose

Zelretch: next are the Lancers, some of my mother's fastest, but also some of them have the worst luck as well, just so you know.

Jaune: who needs luck when you're strong.

Zelretch: Ha ha ha, That's fair, I suppose; now, for the wildest cards, the Archers.

Jaune: how are they the wild cards?

Zelretch: they have something called independent action, which allows them to disobey anything they don't like and gives them stronger vitality. They are very troublesome people.

Jaune:I see.

Zelretch: Now for the cavalry classes and the first one up is Rider.

Jaune: why Rider

Zelretch: Because can you ever picture a knight without a horse.

Jaune: That's fair I suppose.

Zelretch: now, for assassin class, it is basically this, and for you, interrupt me. Can you picture this: an evil king ruling over his people, oppressing them, but then the assassin takes them out, making them the hero, but no one will ever know.

This stopped Jaune in his tracks.

Zelretch: Now on to the third to last, the berserker. The reason they are called berserkers is because something tragic or a curse has fallen upon them, making them like this, but they do gain more strength from it.

Jaune: that sounds terrible. Never be able to feel anything but that anger or sadness. It sounds horrible.

Zelretch: Don't be down sometimes. They do find happiness in the end, and now on to The Avengers. They're similar to Berserkers but also much, much worse or better depending on how you see things.

Jaune: Why are the Avengers

Zelretch: They either lost something close to them or where were betrayed.

Jaune: do they ever get revenge.

Zelretch: some other stories they do some they don't.

Jaune: oh

Zelretch: Now on to rulers through the exact opposite of avengers. They do not hold his desire to hurt or to take from others.

Jaune: wow

Zelretch: There are also other things as well. There are 19 cards. Nine of them are personally yours, 10 are for those that you deem worthy, and only then will those cars ever respond, and they will choose who they are, not you or anyone else.

Jaune: ok I understand.

Zelretch: seeing as how your parents abandoned you in this village, you might as well stay in my residence for a little bit, So you can scrape up a bit of money for yourself.

Jaune: Wait, what? I've been abandoned!?

He then started to look around to see that everybody was playing up their stoves, and the parking was completely cleared out.

Zelretch: sorry, kid, but they were one of the first ones to leave after they ditched you. I noticed, so I did want to mention it cuz you look like you were having a lot of fun here.

Jaune then started to cry a little. This hurt him big time.
