"Kong?" Ayr's voice was calm, his gaze cold as he observed the man before him.

Kong—the strongest among the current Marine Admirals.

A man destined to one day become Commander-in-Chief of the entire World Government military force, surpassing even the authority of the Fleet Admiral.

His strength? Unfathomable. His mastery of Conqueror's Haki—long since perfected.

Ayr gripped the hilt of Demon Slayer, his eyes narrowing with rising battle intent.

Kong, undaunted, stood tall, his aura erupting around him like a gale. His presence was like a mountain—unyielding, vast, and immovable.

"You wield Conqueror's Haki with terrifying force, Ayr," Kong said, his voice laced with steel. "But this is where your path ends."

His fists clenched, coated in both advanced Armament and Conqueror's Haki, radiating enough energy to make the ground tremble. His eyes locked onto Ayr, sharp and resolute.

"Is that so?" Ayr replied coolly. "I disagree."

Kong was undoubtedly strong. Stronger than Zephyr. Stronger than most. But even so… not enough to defeat him here.

After all, Ayr had yet to reveal his true trump card.

"Let's see if the sea's so-called 'monster' lives up to the name!" Kong bellowed, his body blurring forward.

His fist, like a cannon, exploded toward Ayr.

Ayr surged ahead, Demon Slayer crackling with black lightning, responding to Kong's challenge.

In a blink—they collided.

"AYR!!!"

Kong roared, his muscles flexing with every fiber of might as his punch slammed forward, veins bulging across his arms like tree roots.

Ayr responded, blade meeting fist.

BOOM!!!

A shockwave detonated outward from their point of impact. Their opposing auras surged and clashed like wild titans.

The ground beneath them fractured and shattered, splintering under the weight of their raw power. It crumbled like brittle parchment beneath gods at war.

Jagged fissures webbed outward.

Even the sky seemed to react.

Clouds that once hung high above were instantly torn apart. Sunlight vanished behind swirling gales and thunderclouds.

Lightning danced. Thunder roared. The heavens trembled.

"BOOM! BANG! CRASH!"

The two warriors bounced back, only to launch at each other again—relentless, primal, unyielding.

Kong's iron fists pummeled forth, his Armament Haki gleaming obsidian. Ayr moved with the fluid precision of a swordmaster, Demon Slayer flashing with killing intent, slicing through the storm of attacks.

He wasn't just defending—he was analyzing. Calculating.

Looking for the opening.

Though Kong's brute force was supreme, Ayr's speed and precision held him at bay.

Kong wasn't just strong—he was legendary.

Far surpassing Zephyr in terms of sheer raw power and durability.

But it wasn't because Zephyr was weak—far from it.

This era—the Valley of the Gods—was still a forge of growth.

Garp, Sengoku, even Whitebeard—they had not yet reached their true prime.

They were all still becoming legends.

The clash intensified, a white-hot blaze of power.

Entire buildings within several hundred meters were flattened, crumbling beneath the magnitude of their clash. Ground levels were turned to ruin, the earth carved and uprooted as if by a natural disaster.

"Your strength… I like it," Ayr said with a grin, his voice carrying even through the maelstrom.

"Don't get cocky, brat!" Kong spat, eyes flaring. "You're still not enough!"

With a feral roar, Kong's fists glowed brighter.

He channeled both Conqueror's and Armament Haki simultaneously, his blows charged with the force to crush warships.

With all his power—he lunged.

"Breakdown!!!"

Ayr slid back a half-step, exhaling slowly. He drew deep into his reserves.

A torrent of pure Haki flooded from his core into Demon Slayer.

The once-black blade now pulsed with a crimson glow, dark red and ominous, exuding a demonic pressure that seemed to warp the space around it.

It thirsted for blood.

"SHUH!!!"

Ayr swung.

Steel met flesh. Blade met fist.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

The force of their collision unleashed a vortex of destruction.

The very air screamed.

A crater, dozens of meters wide, sank beneath them as the ground gave way.

Lightning ripped across the sky.

"L-Look at the sky!!!"

"The heavens… they're cracking!"

"Damn it! They actually split the sky apart!!!"

The gathered soldiers and pirates stared upward.

The clouds above were torn open.

A deep fissure—like a rip in space itself—carved across the firmament, dividing the heavens like a blade through parchment.

It was the first time most had witnessed such a spectacle.

Even veterans who had faced emperors stood dumbfounded.

"This battle… it's on a different level entirely."

"They're evenly matched… Ayr and Kong!"

"Evenly matched?" scoffed one officer. "You underestimate Admiral Kong! Ayr may be powerful, but he's just a freak with unique powers!"

"Exactly! Kong's strength is second only to Marshal Brownie himself! No matter what tricks Ayr pulls, he's not beating Kong!"

Their words were confident—but their eyes betrayed fear.

Because deep down, they all knew—

Ayr was more than just a swordsman.

He was a force.

Even if they believed Kong held the edge, they couldn't deny Ayr's presence shook them to their bones.

At the center of it all, Ayr and Kong clashed still.

Neither had landed a decisive blow.

Though Ayr lacked Kurama's power, and the Sage's Eye—his own internal fusion of chakra and haki had created a form uniquely his.

Still, without those true trump cards, he could not overpower Kong.

But Kong, despite his monstrous physique and peak Haki control, could not finish Ayr either.

They were stalemated.

Time passed.

The war in the Valley of the Gods raged on.

The battlefield was drenched in blood and fire.

Both sides—Rocks' pirates and Marines—suffered catastrophic losses.

The Rocks Pirates had lost dozens of crewmates and even some high-ranking officers.

The Marines, too, faced terrible casualties. Elite after elite fell in the chaos.

And in one of the most shocking moments—

Deros, the assassin from Cipher Pol Zero, wielder of the Phoenix Zoan-type Devil Fruit, known for his insane regeneration—

Was beheaded by Edward Newgate.

The future Whitebeard.

Though not yet in his prime, the destructive potential of his Gura Gura no Mi was unmatched.

The quake fist struck down the phoenix.

His power wasn't yet polished—but his might was already monstrous.

The tide of war was shifting.

And in the heart of the storm—

The heavens themselves cracked…
