Hearing her words, Ethan felt a cold weight settle in his heart.
'Weak…' he muttered in his mind. The words echoed.
He'd heard them before. Mia had told him something similar back then—words that had stung, words that had made him vow never to be weak again. Never to be in a position where people had to sacrifice themselves for him. And yet… here he was again. In the body of a newborn dragon. Helpless. Weak. Still having to listen to such painful words.
'Even in the body of a dragon… I'm still weak…' he thought bitterly. He clenched his inner fists, even as his dragon body continued suckling against his will. Not that it was his fault, he was actually trying his best but most things that happen ms are usually out of his control.
But then— His eyes widened in realization.
Even though this dragon was newborn, without even awakening properly… its raw strength already rivaled a Rank 3 Dire Beast. Rank 3… without awakening! That was insane! Unbelievable!
