After a good rest, the time to create magical beasts was here. I opted for the generic magical beasts for this one—Dragons, Phoenixes, Thunderbirds, and a few more. Of course, these were rare beasts, who would probably be seen as legendary magical beings. For the rest, though, I just added some elemental or quirky powers to smaller animals. Then there were the cute ones designed by Freyja and Sersi, and the insects and other essentials were handled by Raph.
"Now it's done. So how is it?" With a satisfied smile, I looked at the dimension and asked Freyja.
"It's good, but what about the mages?" Freyja asked.
"Can you stop being so impatient? One step at a time. Now that the dimension is done, we'll get to the human part next," I explained.
"No, what I was asking was where would you get the mages from? Are you going to bless the humans, or are you going to create them on your own?"
'Create them on my own? Now that sounds like an interesting godlike idea… Raph, can it be done without any complications right now?'
[Master, you can easily create thousands of humans with your current energy reserves. This plan seems more feasible than turning existing humans into mages, since the present number of humans is not very high. A single human now could become the ancestor of thousands in the future. Creating a large civilization would heavily alter the world's timeline and population dynamics.]
"I will create them. Some here, and some scattered across the world. I'll also give them the basic information and knowledge they need to survive and start their civilization. I'll provide them with a basic set of magic, suitable to be perfected later on, which would be a good starting point for them. And I'll also leave them a spell to create small pocket dimensions—safehouses or communities they can form in the outside world, amongst humans," I decided and explained to Freyja.
"Are they all going to have equal talent in magic?" Freyja asked.
"Nope… enough talk. I'm about to create them. Then we also have to create the advanced tech-based humans. I'll be leaving on an expedition soon," I said, and,
'Raph, 20,000 humans… design them. This dimension will start with that many mages—a good enough populace, I suppose.'
[Yes, Master.]
And once again, I brought my divinities into action. Ten thousand males and ten thousand females were created in front of me. Now, it may just be that my artistic sense is better, but all of these humans looked good, and possessed the best genetics—even without the magical aspect.
The newborn humans were already in adult form and had all the required information in their brains. Of course, seeing me, they all bowed in reverence, since they knew I was their creator.
Yes, faith brings almost no benefit to us Aesir gods, but that doesn't mean I would want the humans I created myself to worship someone else. It would feel like they're cheating on me… I know it sounds childish, but it is what it is.
After setting them up and introducing Freyja as a major god too, we were ready to leave the dimension. Oh, Sersi got some reverence as well. Anyway, I created 30,000 more magical humans, fed them the same information, gave them knowledge about their motherland—the dimension of mages—and used gate spells to scatter them across the world, forming many settlements. Now, all that was left was to watch them grow.
"Now we wait... but isn't it too boring? Like, we'd have to wait for millennia before there's anything interesting. Are we supposed to wait until then?" Freyja asked, as we floated in the sky, overlooking the mage humans building their homes in the dimension.
"Yes. We create them and forget about them. Same with the advanced tech ones. We'll both be busy once we get back to Asgard, so we won't miss them much anyway. A few millennia later, we can come and check their progress and stories. But on the plus side, we can have many such civilizations—which means unlimited entertainment," I explained.
"I see. Let's start with the advanced tech humans then. What are we going to do about them?" Freyja asked.
"Wait. Won't giving some humans advanced tech make them just superior to normal humans? They'd simply rule over the world. You're not planning to give Asgardian technology to humans, right?" Sersi asked.
"No, I won't give them Asgardian tech. And creating advanced humans is much easier. I'll be creating a whole new island and a new type of humans. These ones won't possess magic or anything like that, but they'll simply be superior to normal humans in every aspect—including the brain—so they can create their tech on their own. Also, they'll keep themselves hidden on the island," I explained, then used a gate spell, signaling the two to follow me.
The place where I decided to build this civilization was even further south of New Zealand—a place with almost zero human interference. I planned on creating an island of around 500,000 square km, making it resource-rich and able to sustain a population of millions. It would ensure they could live in peace and be self-sufficient.
Once again bringing my Divinity of Creation into action, I created the island—about twice the size of New Zealand—and began forming its flora and fauna. It took some time due to my energy reserves, but after some rest in between, it was all done. Now only the humans remained.
For the advanced humans, I decided to start with 50,000. This population would ensure they don't suffer from overpopulation too quickly and at the same time prevent it from dropping too low. These new humans would be much, much smarter than average humans, with an average IQ over 140, and IQs over 200 not being considered strange.
Just like the magical humans, they would have several controllers ingrained into their DNA. And since they could create several unexpected inventions, all their knowledge would be recorded by Raphael.
Of course, they too would be my loyal believers.
And with this, my time on Midgard was coming to an end.
Back to war soon, I suppose.
