Chapter 203 - Chapter 203: The Shocked Wounded Soldiers

After Teppei finished speaking, he was about to take the Traveler to find Onikabuto beetles.

"Hehe, there's no need to go to such trouble."

Qiu Bai said with a smile, crossing his arms as he looked at everyone.

"Gather all the wounded soldiers here."

"Mr. Qiu Bai, why is that?"

Teppei asked in confusion, stopping in his tracks and turning to look at Qiu Bai.

"Hehe, just do as he says."

Paimon smiled mysteriously at Teppei.

After all, they had witnessed Qiu Bai abilities before.

He could revive the fallen Millelith soldiers and the Yaksha, and he could instantly heal wounds.

"Teppei, bring all the wounded and disabled people here."

Qiu Bai said with a smile.

"Uh, alright."

Teppei replied, still confused.

"I'll go tell the wounded in those tents over there."

Shortly after, Teppei brought over more than twenty wounded soldiers.

Some were missing a leg, some were missing an arm, and others had lost their hearing.

Teppei was supporting one person whose eyes were completely wrapped in bandages.

"Oh my..."

Paimon heart trembled at the sight of the person Teppei was supporting.

"This is war."

"War is this terrifying."

Qiu Bai sighed, looking at the many resistance soldiers.

"Mr. Qiu Bai, I've brought everyone."

Teppei asked, looking puzzled.

"What should we do now?"

"Wait, wait!"

A delicate-looking woman dressed in a blue and white kimono ran out.

"Where are you taking the wounded?!"

"It's pouring rain outside!"

The shrine maiden from Watatsumi Island called out in warning.

"Their wounds will get infected!"

"Don't worry, miss."

Qiu Bai smiled at the delicate woman.

"They'll be fine."

"We trust Teppei."

Said the wounded soldier whom Teppei was supporting.

Though he couldn't see, he spoke weakly.

"This is unacceptable!"

The delicate woman began to scold them.

"This is just reckless..."

Before she could finish, Qiu Bai stretched out his hand toward the twenty-some wounded soldiers.

The delicate woman then felt an intense white light.

"What's happening?!"

The white light illuminated the entire camp, forming a huge beam that shot toward the sky.

Even Gorou ran out, shielding his eyes with his arm as he called out toward the source of the light.

After the white light faded, the storm clouds above had cleared, revealing a patch of blue sky.

A large hole had formed in the storm, and warm sunlight shone on everyone faces.

While this patch of sky was clear, the surrounding areas were still covered in dark clouds and pouring rain.

"I—I can see!"

The soldier supported by Teppei trembled as he removed the bandages from his eyes, tears streaming down his face.

"My leg is back!"

"My hand... oh my goodness!"

More than twenty wounded soldiers stared at their bodies in disbelief.

Other soldiers wounds had completely disappeared.

"My wound has healed."

Shoji said incredulously, staring at his hands.

"My body is filled with strength."

"Mine too..."

Deta murmured, looking at his wound.

"My injury is gone. This is unbelievable."

"How... how is this possible?"

The delicate woman stared in shock at the healed soldiers before her.

Even those who had lost their legs had fully regrown them.

"Why are these wounded soldiers outside?!"

"And what was that white light just now..."

Gorou ran over.

Before he could continue, he saw the twenty-some formerly wounded soldiers now jumping around energetically.

"This..."

Gorou mumbled in disbelief, looking at several soldiers who had regrown limbs and regained their eyesight.

"Mokuyori, Chaina, Hirano, you all..."

"This... this is truly a miracle..."

The Watatsumi shrine maiden said in amazement, then turned her gaze toward the sky.

Only the area above the military camp was clear of rain; everywhere else was still surrounded by storms and lightning.

"Mr. Qiu Bai."

"Who... who exactly are you?"

Teppei whispered in shock, looking at the fully recovered wounded soldiers and then at the clear sky above.

"Mr. Qiu Bai."

"Did... did you do this?"

Gorou asked, astonished as he looked at the sunlight illuminating the ground.

It was well known that this area had been constantly plagued by thunderstorms.

Yet that white light had somehow changed the weather.

"Last time I saw it from Guyun Stone Forest."

Paimon said in amazement, looking at the clear sky above.

"But seeing it up close is so much more impressive."

"Oops, I used too much power..."

Qiu Bai mouth twitched as he saw what had happened.

His divine power had been enhanced too much, and he had unconsciously used his previous level of strength to heal.

Unexpectedly, this had directly cleared part of the miasma left behind by Orobashi death in the high heavens.

"Ahem, uh..."

Qiu Bai cleared his throat awkwardly, seeing the shocked expressions of those around him.

"Mr. Qiu Bai, are you a god?!!!"

Teppei exclaimed, too shocked to speak properly.

"You're so powerful!"

"He must be a god."

Deta said excitedly, looking at Qiu Bai beside him.

"This kind of power is beyond my understanding!"

"Thank you, thank you, Lord God..."

Mokuyori walked step by step toward Qiu Bai, as if he couldn't believe his legs had healed.

With a thud, he knelt before Qiu Bai, tears streaming down his face.

"For allowing me to regain my legs and fight again!"

"Sigh, please get up."

Qiu Bai helped Mokuyori to his feet with a sigh.

"I'm not a god."

"No, even if you're not a god, in our hearts, you're already more worthy of respect than any god!"

Mokuyori looked up at Qiu Bai gratefully.

"That's right."

the many former wounded soldiers behind him said, smiling at Qiu Bai.

"Thank you, Mr. Qiu Bai, for allowing us to fight again!"

"A god..."

Gorou murmured, looking at Qiu Bai back.

"There's no need for such formality."

Qiu Bai smiled at the many soldiers.

"Since I've joined the resistance, I should use my abilities to do something meaningful."

"Mr. Qiu Bai, thank you."

Gorou said, having regained his composure as he walked up to Qiu Bai with a smile.

He was now completely certain that Qiu Bai before him was indeed a god.

As for why this god had joined their resistance army, he didn't know, but since this god had healed so many wounded soldiers, he surely had no ill intentions.
