Mia had no other choice when she saw Roxanne clinging to her. She agreed, allowing the woman to drag her to the Chinese restaurant that she had spoken to her about earlier. Fortunately, the restaurant was not far from the company, and Mia could always return in an emergency.
The two women made their way to the table that they were given at the reception; it was at the very back of the restaurant, as it was peak hours and many people were there at lunchtime.
The two chose a seat next to the window. However, as soon as the two of them sat down, Roxanne noticed that Mia's expression had changed and turned solemn.
"What happened?" she asked as she turned around and looked behind her. As she followed Mia's line of sight, she saw Henry helping out a rather frail-looking Jamie, whose arm was heavily bandaged.
