Mia carried the small bag in which she had packed all the important things that she collected from her home, ones that held her and her parents' memories. With her feet moving briskly, she headed towards the entrance of the building, however, as she was busy looking around the new space where she was going to live from now on, she didn't pay attention to the elevator doors that opened right in front of her with a subtle ding.
"Ouch!"
"Oof!"
Two cries of pain echoed in the corridor, which was filled with silence. Mia dropped her bag but caught it just before it hit the ground. There were a bunch of things inside the bag that might break if she let the bag hit the floor.
She caught hold of the bag, but somehow the slippers that she was wearing slipped off her feet. While one of them flew backwards, the other one flew straight ahead. Mia was not worried about the slipper that flew back, as she knew that it had fallen on the floor.
