Takashi's smile froze on his face.
"L-Landlady, w-what is all this?"
Hitomi stood up and took one step after another toward Takashi, her steps like those of a demon.
'Run!'
This was Takashi's first thought.
He tried to stand up, but his limbs had no strength, and he collapsed heavily to the ground.
His mind was hazy, his eyelids were heavy, and he felt like he could fall asleep at any moment.
"Takashi, sleep. When you wake up, you won't remember anything."
Before Takashi lost consciousness completely, the last thing he saw was Hitomi's soft, pink toes.
Hitomi picked up Takashi's phone and unlocked it with his fingerprint.
She opened Line and clicked through all the women he had chatted with.
She clicked through several, but the conversations were empty, as if they had never chatted at all.
"It's all cleaned up very thoroughly."
She kicked Takashi's body on the floor, a little dissatisfied.
Clicking through more conversations, she finally found one with content.
It wasn't that Takashi had cleaned it up, but rather, he hadn't had the chance to do so.
Eriri: [Takashi, my illness is better (^▽^)]
Eriri: [My parents asked when you'll come to our house for dinner. They really like you.]
Hitomi let out a cold laugh.
"Like?"
Her mother had used her connections to directly get Takashi's personal file from the police station.
She couldn't let that woman, Sawamura Sayuri, tolerate their relationship.
Eriri: [By the way, Utaha is acting weird lately.]
Eriri: [She's been spacey in class, and when I talk to her, she's always zoning out, like she's been dumped.]
Utaha?
Hitomi frowned.
Isn't that the one Takashi dumped last week?
She remembered now. The person Utaha liked wasn't someone named Aki, was it? Aki something?
She thought for a moment and then remembered who Utaha's crush was.
She didn't care about people who weren't important to her, so she hadn't bothered to remember.
It seemed like Takashi had completely replaced Aki Tomoya, didn't it?
"Idiot."
Hitomi couldn't help but curse.
She didn't even regard Utaha as a threat, but having one more enemy really irritated her.
After reading through the conversation with Eriri, she flipped through a few more but lost patience and called out: "Come in."
Soon, the door to Takashi's room opened.
A woman dressed like a bodyguard walked in.
"Before Takashi wakes up, recover the data and send it to my phone."
"Yes."
The female bodyguard took the phone and was about to leave when Hitomi spoke again:
"By the way, install a tracker on his phone. I want to be able to find him anytime, anywhere."
"Yes."
After the bodyguard left, Hitomi turned her attention back to Takashi.
She straddled him, and her soft hands slowly moved up his abdomen until they stopped at his Adam's apple, applying pressure.
"I think this is really tiring for me…"
"Can you just tell me, who did you chat with today?"
"How many things did you say?"
"When you're ignoring me, what are you doing?"
"Who did you go out with today?"
"How many messages did you send to them?"
"Did you miss me…"
"Do you like me more, or Eriri?"
With each question, Hitomi's delicate face twisted even more.
Her clear eyes, like mountain streams, were no longer the same, replaced by a strong possessiveness and intense fanaticism.
Her breathing grew more erratic.
Her pale face turned red.
Despite choking, Takashi could not respond, but Hitomi assumed he silently agreed.
Holding the unconscious Takashi, Hitomi wore a satisfied expression.
…
The next day, Takashi woke up in bed.
His head was throbbing like it was going to explode.
He was about to sit up when he realized his arm seemed to be under something. He turned his head to see.
The girl was peacefully sleeping.
Sunlight filtered through the window, casting a mysterious veil over her face, as if an angel had descended, flawless.
Her white nightgown fluttered in the breeze, like angel wings.
"Landlady?"
Takashi was a bit confused.
Why is the landlady in his bed?
What happened last night?
He tried to recall, but his mind was blank, as though last night's memory had been erased by some mysterious force.
He couldn't think of anything.
"Hmm?"
Her long eyelashes fluttered, and Hitomi slowly opened her eyes.
When their eyes met, Takashi forced a smile. "Morning?"
"Hm, morning."
Hitomi stared at the embarrassed boy, revealing an innocent smile.
Just looking at her like this, there was no trace of the crazy, violent energy from last night.
"We...,"
After a slight hesitation, Takashi still felt that he couldn't avoid it: "Did we... have sex?"
"Don't you remember what happened last night?"
A flicker of something unusual passed through Hitomi's eyes.
'Seems like the medicine worked quite well, I should use it more often in the future.'
Takashi couldn't understand the look in her eyes. He nodded in confusion.
"Last night, I brought over some tea, poured you a cup, and you drank it and immediately climbed onto the table and fell asleep. It took a lot of effort to get you onto the bed."
Hitomi was half-serious, half-joking.
"Then why didn't you leave?"
"Do you think I could leave?"
Hitomi glanced down.
Takashi followed her gaze.
He realized that his hand was around her slender and wonderfully delicate waist.
"Sorry."
Takashi quickly moved his hand away.
"Yeah, I couldn't move all night, my waist is killing me."
Hitomi sat up from the bed and stretched a big lazy stretch.
Her yukata slipped off, revealing large areas of smooth, white shoulders.
Takashi immediately averted his gaze and returned to the previous topic: "So, did we... have sex?"
"If we did, what would you do?"
Hitomi asked curiously.
Takashi answered honestly: "I don't know."
He really didn't know what to do.
This wasn't part of his plan.
Right now, he couldn't take responsibility.
Seeing the confused expression on Takashi's face, Hitomi almost wanted to take a picture of it.
"Alright, don't overthink it. We just slept in the same bed and cuddled up together. It was purely platonic friendship."
Hitomi playfully winked and repeated something Takashi often said.
It sounded fine when she said it, but hearing it from others made Takashi feel uncomfortable.
"Of course, if you want to take responsibility, I wouldn't mind."
Hitomi rested her face on her hand, propped up on the bed, smiling at him.
Takashi immediately scrambled off the bed: "No, no thanks."
This woman's charm was too much. Early in the morning, Takashi was afraid of doing something irrational.
"Really not considering it? I'm a white tiger, you know."
Takashi paused his steps as he was heading to the door, but quickly, he rushed into the bathroom with great speed.
"Small fry?~"
