The temple quaked under the sheer pressure of his will. The slash of his blade tore through space, the force condensed into a single arc of searing energy that roared toward Goddess Charrin.
But she didn't move.
With the calmness only a divine being could possess, Charrin lifted one hand—and with a flick of her fingers, summoned a radiant shield of divine light.
Kyle's attack slammed against it, exploding in a brilliant display of sparks and shockwaves.
The temple floor splintered beneath her, but the goddess stood untouched, not a strand of her shimmering hair out of place.
She tilted her head and smiled.
"What do you plan to do once you've defeated us all, Kyle Armstrong?"
