Chapter 196 - The Rakshasa God's Attention

In the Hell Slaughter Arena, as Tang San completed his final act of slaughter, Tang Hao descended from the sky. With his Slaughter God Domain, Tang Hao had become the new Slaughter King of Slaughter City, controlling everything within its confines. The once-empty Slaughter City had been revitalized as Tang Hao continuously abducted people from the outside world, bringing life back to the desolate place.

Everything Tang Hao had done was to nurture Tang San, to cultivate a new Slaughter God. Now, it was time to reap the rewards.

At this moment, Tang Hao looked at Tang San with a cold and stern expression. "Xiao San, you've achieved a hundred consecutive victories. The enemies you've slaughtered number in the hundreds, and you've accumulated a terrifying amount of killing intent. This level of killing intent is enough to help you resist the corruption of the Hell Road. Now, I will open the Hell Road for you. Whether you can survive and emerge is up to you."

A flash of blood-red light passed through Tang San's eyes. He already knew the benefits of conquering the Hell Road—it would grant him the Slaughter God Domain. He had heard from his teacher that domain skills were the most precious of all spirit abilities. Once obtained, they would greatly enhance one's strength.

"Understood, Father. I will definitely survive and emerge."

Tang Hao nodded, then activated his Slaughter God Domain. Using the domain, he connected with the Hell Slaughter Arena, allowing him to choose whether to initiate the Blood Sacrifice. His choice, of course, was to activate it.

In an instant, all the killing intent accumulated in the Hell Slaughter Arena over the past two years erupted. The spectators in the arena seats exploded one by one, their bones, blood, and souls serving as offerings. Under the surge of blood-red light, the blood bat pattern in the arena was filled.

When the final stroke of the blood bat pattern was completed, its eyes glowed, and a pillar of blood-red light shot into the sky, enveloping Tang San. After a moment of disorientation, he was transported into the Hell Road.

Upon awakening on the starting platform of the Hell Road, Tang San took a deep breath. The air here was surprisingly sweet, almost intoxicating.

Drawn by the allure, he quickly walked to the edge of the platform and looked down. His eyes glowed with a purple light—even without a head spirit bone, he still possessed the Purple Demon Eye. Below, he saw what appeared to be a pool of blood, resembling molten lava.

Tang San's eyes widened, and he nearly drooled. The blood-red light in his eyes intensified to its peak. Compared to the bland lives he had lived before, the blood of low-level spirit masters and ordinary villagers now seemed utterly tasteless.

"No doubt, this is the core of Slaughter City. If I could dive in and drink my fill, wouldn't I be able to rapidly increase my soul power? Moreover, destroying such a filthy place would be a service to the continent!"

Thinking this, Tang San felt a pang of regret. He remembered that he was here to conquer the Hell Road and wasn't sure if he'd have another chance to return.

With a deep sigh, Tang San stood up and surveyed his surroundings. He found the only narrow path and, after a moment of hesitation, stepped onto it, venturing into the unknown.

Unbeknownst to Tang San, behind him, a mass of green energy coalesced. Within the eerie green energy, a pair of eyes opened—eyes filled with evil, cruelty, malice, and ruthlessness.

Those eyes stared intently at Tang San, showing a flicker of interest. "Such evil power, such a venomous mind. This person is the perfect candidate for the Rakshasa Inheritance. Even Bibi Dong still holds a shred of conscience, but this Tang San has no trace of morality. What a pity, such a pity..."

"However, I can leave a mark on him. Once he leaves, I can use him to push Bibi Dong to abandon her conscience and embrace the power of Rakshasa. Only then can she inherit the Rakshasa Godhood."

"Now, the contingency I left behind has been broken. Tang Chen is dead, and the Asura has a new inheritor. The Asura is watching closely, and if I don't act soon, I'll miss my chance."

Soon, the green energy dissipated, and Tang San remained oblivious, unaware that he had caught the attention of the Rakshasa God.

Not long after, a strange sound reached Tang San's ears. His eyes narrowed with caution as his hands moved to his waist, ready to draw hidden weapons at any moment. His gaze swept the surroundings.

Suddenly, the chattering sound grew closer, and a swarm of small bats rushed toward him.

Enveloped by the sound waves, Tang San felt dizzy. He bit his tongue, using the pain to sharpen his focus. His hands moved swiftly over the Twenty-Four Bridge Moon Night, retrieving various hidden weapons. With precise throws, each weapon struck a bat with deadly accuracy.

Though Tang San's temperament had changed drastically, his skills remained intact. Using the various secret techniques of the Tang Sect, the small bats were no match for him.

However, a massive figure soon emerged from the darkness. It was another bat, but this one was enormous, with six heads and a cultivation level of at least eighty thousand years.

The Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King!

As long as the small bats of the Hell Road existed, they would eventually devour each other, giving rise to a king, such as the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King or the Dark Gold Three-Headed Bat King.

This Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King was somewhere between the Dark Gold Three-Headed Bat King and the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King.

"Roar!"

The Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King let out a deafening roar, and a tangible sound wave blasted forward. Tang San's expression changed, but he had no time to dodge. He could only watch as the sound wave engulfed him, devastating his mind. His vision blurred, and he collapsed.

The Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King landed in front of Tang San but did not devour him. Instead, it pressed its body against Tang San's and merged into him.

Amidst a green light, Tang San transformed into a bat. However, he quickly reverted to his human form. The small bats around him began to circle his body but did not attack. Instead, they gathered around him as if paying homage to their king.

"Ah—!"

With a gasp, Tang San finally regained consciousness. Upon waking, he immediately checked his body and found no injuries—not even a scratch. "What happened? I remember seeing a giant bat. It knocked me out, but it didn't kill me!"

Tang San's expression shifted between confusion and suspicion. His eyes scanned the small bats around him, which no longer showed any intention of attacking.

"What exactly happened..."

Tang San was utterly perplexed. He stood up and summoned his mutated Blue Silver King. Several vine whips lashed out, killing a group of small bats. Yet, the bats still did not retaliate.

"Never mind. I'll focus on getting out of the Hell Road first."

With a heavy heart, Tang San retracted his martial soul and continued forward.
