(A new job awaits me. Whoever treated my dad like this will pay. They will know who they are dealing with.)
Our character heads to their room.
(Yes, I need to rest a bit today, but I can't work like this every day.)
Our character throws themselves onto the bed and falls asleep.
[5 hours and 24 minutes later]
(Oh damn, I don't know how I woke up, but it's only 4:44. Why did I wake up all of a sudden? I was sleeping so well.)
(Anyway, I'm really wide awake now. Should I sit at the computer and try to solve my dad's issue?)
Our character thinks.
(That seems like a reasonable idea. It's better than just sitting around doing nothing.)
Our character sits at the computer.
(Alright, Ethan Crawford, let's see who this guy is. Let's get started.)
Our character begins researching.
[33 minutes later]
(I'm searching the internet everywhere, but it seems like there's no one by that name. This guy probably knows nothing about the internet.)
Our character continues researching.
[11 minutes later]
(Damn it, why is there no information about this guy? What the hell!)
(I'll continue this tomorrow. I should have just slept; at least I would wake up feeling more refreshed. Now I can't even do that. I tried to work on something for the first time, and I failed.)
Our character throws themselves back onto the bed and falls asleep.
Morning
Sarah: Wake up! Today is your first day at the new school.
****: Yeah, I know.
Sarah: Get up then.
****: Where's my dad?
Sarah: He's having breakfast.
****: Alright, let him wait. I need to talk to him.
Sarah: Okay, I'll let him know.
Our character gets ready and goes downstairs.
****: Hello, Dad. How are you?
John: I'm good. How about you? Were you able to handle what I told you?
****: No, because there's no one by that name on the internet.
John: How can there be no one?
****: I searched, and I concluded that there's no one named Ethan Crawford.
John: I never said there was a person by that name!
****: What did you say?
John: I said George Gardner. Where did that name come from?
****: How? I remember it as Ethan Crawford.
John: You must be mistaken.
****: Yes, I guess so.
John: Anyway, eat your breakfast so I can drop you off at your new school.
****: Alright.
(How could I have been mistaken? Didn't he say Ethan Crawford? It seems like there are changes happening in my life, but I'm not aware of them.)
Our character finishes their meal and they head to the car.
John: Are you excited?
****: A little bit.
John: Make sure to pay attention in class since school ends early now, okay?
****: Will you pick me up again after school?
John: Yes, don't worry about it.
****: Alright.
(Sometimes I don't understand what's happening, but I keep living. I wonder how long this will last.)
