Chapter 39 - Their Own Plans

The sky outside was dark, and the room's lighting was warm. The beautiful big sister sitting on the sofa remained silent, her expression slightly somber.

The pure girl kept her small face cold and also said nothing, sitting obediently with her small hands quietly resting on her knees.

Qin Yue couldn't hold back any longer.

"You're back?"

"I'm back."

"You still know how to come back?" Qin Yue was furious, "What time is it now!"

If it got any later, would she have to go find you in some woman's bed outside?

Bai Ningning picked up her cup and took a sip, casually saying, "It's 9:39 PM. I got back at 9:09."

Wow, she had been silent for half an hour before speaking.

Qin Yue raised an eyebrow: "So what if it was 9:09?"

"9:09, didn't exceed the time limit," Bai Ningning said calmly, "and I was a minute early."

"Just a minute, and you think you have a point!"

Qin Yue's anger was rising.

"How did you come back the previous half month? You never came back after 3 PM. Why did you come back after 9 today?"

"There was nothing before," Bai Ningning explained calmly, "but today there was something."

"What was it?"

"Playing games."

Hearing this reason made Qin Yue even angrier: "What game could you possibly need to play outside? Can't you play at home? Is it because you don't have a computer or internet?"

No junior.

Bai Ningning tightened her small face, reminding herself to hold it together and not let anything slip.

There wasn't any other reason; mainly, she had class tomorrow morning and needed to get up.

Seeing her silent, Qin Yue pondered for a moment and understood.

"Are you still mad about the account issue? If you hadn't said that kind of thing first, I wouldn't have resorted to such measures."

That said, her tone softened a bit.

Qin Yue thought she was unwilling to play games at home because that 2.5 million account had been banned.

Mainly because of that incident, right? If it weren't for you...

Countless words flashed through her mind, finally turning into a soft sigh: "Forget it, I'll go get that account back for you."

Bai Ningning's eyes lit up: "Can the account be retrieved?"

Wow, that was an ultimate fully equipped account. Although you don't need such good skins for shooting games, if you send me one, I'd be more than happy to play a round and check it out in a minute and a half.

"Don't get too excited," Qin Yue snorted coldly, "VAC can be lifted, but it will leave a trade ban."

With a trade ban, you can't buy or sell; all the items will be locked to that account, usable but not sellable, and the debts will still be owed.

But Bai Ningning didn't care at all: "Got it, that's fine."

Who wouldn't want to play? She had never even touched those skins in her past life.

Having tasted the sweetness, Bai Ningning behaved very well all night, absolutely not saying anything she shouldn't, and trying her best to say what she should.

Qin Yue was surprised; for the first time, she found Bai Ningning so sweet, like a quiet girl next door.

How nice it would be if time could just flow like this. After a couple of days when her body was well-rested, having a gentle and sweet sleep would be so wonderful.

With visions of a beautiful life, Qin Yue closed her eyes and peacefully fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Bai Ningning blinked in the darkness.

Tonight, I didn't say a word and passed safely. Is that good?

It seems fine, but Dr. Chen also said that silence is just avoidance. Without a lot of corrective practice, things will never improve.

I need to talk more and practice more.

But there's class in the morning, so Bai Ningning is a bit hesitant to practice; what if she can't get up in the morning?

Maybe she should practice after school on Friday.

Zzzz

...

The early bird gets the worm, and the early Bai Ningning has to go to class.

"Bai Dayuan, sit here, sit here, I saved a spot for you," Guan Qian called her over, "Have you had breakfast?"

"I had a little at home."

"Being a day student is great," Guan Qian sighed, "You can cook for yourself."

Actually, it's not cooking for herself; there's a maid in the kitchen specifically responsible for that. Bai Ningning opened her mouth but didn't say anything.

Mainly, she didn't know how to explain "why she lives in a house with a maid."

"By the way, Bai Dayuan," Guan Qian thought of something, "Didn't your previous club disband? Which new club did you join this semester?"

"I've already joined," Bai Ningning replied, "The ACG club."

Guan Qian was slightly taken aback: "The ACG club? That's the one that combines anime, gaming, and dance clubs, right?"

"Yeah."

"But didn't you say you wouldn't join those kinds of clubs?"

Bai Ningning was also surprised: "Why do you say that?"

"You said it yourself! Last semester, you told me that even though you're also into ACG, you definitely wouldn't join those clubs," Guan Qian recalled, "Because the people in there are all those hardcore fans who get all weird when they see girls, you know what I mean."

Bai Ningning's mouth twitched: "Did I? I don't remember."

Wow, the original owner actually said that?

So, not accumulating virtue usually leads to a heart-wrenching moment when it all comes back to bite you, huh?

It's okay, now I am you, and in the days to come, I will find ways to accumulate virtue. Your body, my soul, we'll share the credit fifty-fifty, and we can split it in the next life.

"Speaking of which, have you prepared for this class?"

"Of course not, I haven't even looked at the book."

The first class of the new semester began, but the students clearly hadn't snapped back to reality after the holiday. Most were lazily slacking off, treating the teacher's lecture like a foreign language.

Not just the sophomores, but even the freshmen were the same. After just half a month of military training, everyone hadn't had a proper rest, and now they were pulled back into class, so their mental state was far from good.

So, those who were going to daydream did, and those who were going to slack off did, especially Bai Ningning's younger classmates.

Xiao Yi and Lan Lan were together, quietly chatting about the new game they played last night, like skills in Jakiro's.

Nainai, using a large textbook as cover, glanced around carefully before stealthily pulling out her drawing pad to rush a commission.

She had to make money, after all.

And Qin Xin also found a seat in the back row, took out her phone, and scrolled through messages.

She was different from the others; she had already looked over the textbook for this class and learned most of the knowledge points. Since it wasn't the direction she wanted to develop in the future, learning enough to pass the exam was sufficient, and there was no need to delve too deeply.

On her phone were several messages from her mom:

[Have you completed your day student paperwork? Can you go to your sister's house this weekend?]

[You know your sister's address, right? It's right there (#location).]

[By the way, do you know about that thing with your sister?]

[It's just a little personal matter; the family knows, and you should know a bit too, to avoid any awkwardness.]

Then there was the matter of her older sister being played with emotionally by a girl last semester.
