Chapter 33 - Chapter 33.

Once again, her breath was taken as she exclaimed with more amazement in her tone. The clouds looked like fluffy stepping stones. The blue colour of the sky stretched far and wide, and high in the distance, she could spot faint glowing stars.

"This only makes me more jealous now, You get to see this amazing few anytime you want. If it was possible, I'd want to live high up here."

She expressed joyously as the excitement bubbled up from within her chest.

"It's alright."

"Don't pretend this isn't amazing, Taro, don't try to act cool."

She said with a giggle, and Taro couldn't help but smile. A comfortable silence wrapped around them, and the only source of sound was the whistling wind. Toru specifically felt a sense of calm wash over her. She had been feeling a bit worried about the lack of control she had over her quirk, but right now, she felt like that wasn't a problem.

"Wanna go for a ride, or do you want to enjoy the view a little more?"

Taro broke the silence as he questioned, and Toru couldn't only smile, excitement bubbling up in her chest. Obviously, the answer to that question was yes.

...…

After a joyful ride of Taro flying through the sky, at a pace that would be enjoyable and safe for Toru. The two finally came to the ground. Taro, having asked where she lived, he dropped her directly near her home.

"That last part was a little scary but also fun. Thanks, I've always wondered what it's like to fly."

She said her thanks as she got off his back and touched the ground. She felt her knees tremble slightly, but she did not fall and stood with stability.

"Yeah, it was fun, I hardly go flying for fun these days, I used to when I was younger, but not anymore."

He said with a shrug of his shoulders. Interestingly enough, Momo has only ever asked him to take her flying only about two times and hasn't asked him since.

"I wish I had a fun quirk like yours."

"You can turn invisible, Your quirk is arguably just as fun as mine. You just need to be imaginative with it."

He said while he thought of all the things someone could do with such a quirk, aside from the creepy stuff, of course.

"It's only fun if I can use it properly."

"You said you can't control when you turn invisible, but once you're aware that you are invisible, you're able to turn back to being visible then, right?"

He asked, and she gave him a nod. He began to think of the times he'd bumped into her while invisible. What did those two instances have in common that might be the trick to it?

"So, then simply find out what makes you invisible, try to retrace your steps, or reenact what happened before becoming invisible, maybe that will help."

He advised her, and she began to contemplate his words before she responded.

"Hey, that's actually a good idea, thanks, Taro!"

She said with a bright smile. It seemed like she had figured something out and was going to try it later today.

"Don't mention it."

He shrugged. It'd not like he minded, plus her breasts were pushing against his back the whole time, so it's an even trade.

"You said you had something to tell me earlier today. What was it?"

She asked before Taro could answer. There was an unusually pregnant pause. Letting a slight awkwardness settle before Taro broke it and responded.

"Nah, it's fine. Forget about it."

He said and scratched the back of his head, feeling a bit bashful.

"Wasn't it important? You made a big deal and treated it like it was some kind of mystery or something."

She said, pushing the issue, and Taro couldn't help but evade her gaze as she seemed to step closer and made eye contact. He couldn't tell if she knew what he was going to say, but the way she spoke made it seem like she had an idea.

"Nah, it's fine, it's kind of late, so maybe I'll tell you some other time."

He informed her while he slowly floated away.

"Fine, keep what secrets you have."

She said a bit frustrated as she was actually curious about what he had to say. They exchanged goodbyes, and Taro flew away.

As he flew, he couldn't help but internally reprimand himself for being such a loser. Asking a girl out should not be something he's afraid of. His lack of experience got the better of him, but next time, for sure.

[Next day]

Gym Gamma was one of the multiple training locations within UA University. The entirety of the building was designed to provide intensive training for students while still being safe so as not to cause any harm to the students.

The gym was built thanks to the help of cementos and the engineers of the Hero support department. Cementos helped create various landscapes for the gym, and the Support Department used their skills to make it so those landscapes can be interchangeable, so students can choose which landscape they want.

Of course, the gym is still considerably small compared to other training grounds like ground beta and ground gamma. The gym also has a lot of disposable robots that can either be used to act as villains or civilians.

Despite this, the gym is still severely limited and constrained, as such, it's not really meant for extensive training for long periods of time, just a quick workout either before or after class.

It was incredibly early, right now, about six am. In the morning, the sun had yet to even rise; however, despite that, Eijiro was hard at work, training his body and quirk.

The heroics class yesterday made it apparent that Taro and Bakugou would be top-class hero prospects, and when they become real heroes, they'll skyrocket into the top 100 and leave him behind in the dust

Taro already had the unfair advantage of three quirks, and Bakugou had an incredibly powerful quirk, but Kirishima only had his hardening, not the strongest nor the flashiest quirk, but a good one. Unfortunately, a good quirk is not enough. To be the best, he needs to train it a lot.

Currently, the landscape of the gym was that of a small mountainous region, with a lot of mounds and boulders to create cover. The robots were also set to attack all at once.

A student can choose the landscape and how many robots they want to fight against. The robots were also made so they could easily come together, like Lego sets, to build a bigger and stronger robot.

Kirishima was panting, his breath almost visible and his heart beating against his chest threatening to leap out of his mouth; the young man was tired.

One of the robots pounced out from behind a boulder that had been behind Kirishima, going for his back, however, Kirishima hardened his hand, turned, and punched the bot's chest and sent it flying; however, without giving him time to breathe, two others lunged at him with g

ferocity.

Both came from the sides, each with a weapon. The one on the left had a hand shaped like a hammer, and the one on the right had hands shaped like swords.

They swung on him, but he dodged, quickly rolled to the ground before easily getting on his feet and kicking the robot with sword arms, sending it tumbling; however, the other recovered and swung its hammer hand, and its attack connected with his arm.

The force of the attack caused him to slide back, and Kirishima was about to rush in. However, something told him to duck down, so he did and evaded a sneak attack from behind.

The hammer hand robot rushed in and swung its leg to kick him in the face, but Kirishima ducked down, rolling on the floor and successfully evading the attack.

He got to his feet once more, panting, feeling a tingle on his arm. It has been about 10 minutes since he started, and since his quirk is tied to his stamina and endurance, once he gets tired, his hardening weakens, making him susceptible to getting hurt.

Streams of sweat rolled down his face, like water falling down a cliff, his still heavy yet steady and controlled, he could feel his own body was hot and tired, by all accounts, he should stop.

The only reason he lasted this long was because of his calisthenics and cardio, so he had good stamina. Even with good stamina, a normal human can only fight for a few minutes, five to six at best. A single round in a boxing match is three minutes, with one-minute breaks between rounds.

The fact that Kirishima managed to last a full ten minutes was a testament to his stamina and diligence.

"Should I stop or continue?"

He asked himself while dodging another attack from behind, then swinging his arm and striking his assailant from behind, he kicked an oncoming robot from the front sending it flying, unfortunately a hit on his shoulders from the side sent him tumbling onto the floor, he made attempts to stand up but it proved difficult.

[Detecting signs of fatigue: training simulation terminated]

A/N: what do you guys think of a Naruto what if fanfic?

essentially the idea is what if nobody died. like what if Obito survived being crushed by the boulder and Kakashi led a team of medic ninja to retreave him.

what if Minato manage to separate the 9 tails chakra and put half of it into Kushina, the other half into naruto and neither him nor kushina died.

what if there was no Uchiha massacre and the third hokage managed to get everyone to have peace talks.

Since some of the plot points of Naruto kinda don't exist in this idea the fanfic would focus more on the leaf village and its relationship with other villages. like how it was before the existence of the Akatsuki.

Essentially it would just be the leaf village flexing on all the other villages as some of its most powerful shinobi would still be alive.
