He handed her his grade three weapon. They were far too valuable to risk losing. He had no idea what to expect, and he didn't want to lose his weapons in the process.
Nyx gave a short bow and vanished, blending seamlessly into the shadows.

His preparations were the best he could manage in the short time he had.
He'd given Whiteshade a letter with instructions. If Malakai didn't return in two days, he was to spread news about the Murkroot Hollow all around the city and deliver the letter to the Sovereign. Of course, he made sure to include that it was all for the his benefit, it would help save his life, and by extension, Whiteshade's too.
Malakai soon reached the base. He stopped by his room to grab his normal scythe before heading outside, just in time to see Grunde waiting.
"Is little bro ready?" Grunde whispered, trying his best not to make too much noise and be discovered.
Malakai nodded, and they began moving through the forest.
