Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: The Search

Lynn did not return with Colin and the Furnace Army but chose to stay behind alone.

He had discovered a potential issue his ability to conceal his unique aura was entirely due to his connection with Little Green.

However, this method of hiding meant he couldn't blend into the Furnace Army. If he kept Little Green by his side, it would inevitably attract too much attention.

More importantly, Lynn vaguely sensed that Little Green was something Count Greenforest had taken out of this strange space. This made him even more cautious.

What concerned him most was being detected by an official wizard, especially the Black Dragon Witch, Aestry. If she discovered Little Green's connection to this space, she might just take it away.

Although Lynn had only seen Aestry a few times, always from a distance, his impression of her was exceptionally deep.

Her high-and-mighty demeanor was evident in both warfare and handling other matters, leaving a lasting mark on his mind.

Of course, it wasn't a good impression.

Every time he saw Aestry, her purple eyes carried an undisguised sense of superiority.

To her, the Furnace apprentices were insignificant ants, while she was a goddess standing high in the moonlight.

Mere ants weren't even worthy of entering her sight.

This wasn't the usual contempt of the strong toward the weak. Other powerful official wizards also looked down on apprentices, but they merely disregarded them.

Their eyes did not hold the same scorn for an apprentice's very existence.

But Aestry's gaze carried an emotion as if she were a master looking at her servants.

She was the exalted slave master, while the wizard apprentices were slaves who could be killed at a word.

Considering her background as a princess of the Elrueria Kingdom, raised in luxury and power, this behavior wasn't exactly surprising.

If this were a non-supernatural world, Lynn might have already shouted, "Are kings and nobles born to rule?" and started a rebellion.

But this was a world where power determined everything. Even though he had grudges against the Black Dragon Witch, he had to wait until he grew strong enough before thinking about revenge…

"First, I'll settle the score with Riley. As for Aestry, her turn will come later. I'm not strong enough yet, but when the time comes, I'll make sure to pay her back double…"

Lynn muttered to himself, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. Beside him, Little Green stood quietly, like a loyal knight guarding its lord.

At this moment, Lynn was hiding in a mountainous area, blending seamlessly into his surroundings.

Not far from him was the assembly point of the Furnace Army.

Three days had passed since he entered this strange space through the three-layered maze.

This space was highly unusual, seemingly cut off from all worldly constraints fatigue and hunger did not exist here.

Lynn felt as energetic as ever, experiencing no discomfort.

During these past few days, he had noticed that the Black Dragon Witch, Aestry, had left multiple times. Each time she returned, she brought back a new apprentice, clearly one who had successfully passed the maze trials and entered this space.

As for how she found them, it was almost certainly through that unique aura.

"That aura can't be hidden. The moment someone enters this space, they'll be detected…"

Lynn narrowed his eyes, contemplating.

He realized he might be the only one capable of concealing his aura, all thanks to Little Green.

As for where Count Greenforest had obtained Little Green, Lynn was also full of questions.

Although he had made it through the three-layered maze and entered this space, he had yet to gain anything similar.

The tree-like tools from the first maze had vanished suddenly in the second maze.

All of this further convinced Lynn that Little Green was far from ordinary. It was likely a reward from the fourth or even fifth layer…

Suddenly, Lynn's gaze sharpened as he noticed movement in the distance. A massive flying serpent descended outside the Furnace Army's gathering site, carrying two figures on its back.

Lynn immediately recognized one of them it was an apprentice Aestry had taken away in the past three days.

"He never left alone… so how did he return from outside? Could it be…"

Lynn's eyes narrowed slightly as a thought formed in his mind perhaps the apprentice had temporarily left and then returned.

He recalled the message he received after passing the third maze he could choose to leave this space, but if he did, he would have to start over upon returning.

Since he had Little Green, he saw this space as his home turf and had chosen to stay, hoping to reap its rewards.

"That apprentice went outside. He must have brought back some important news…"

Lynn speculated.

Sure enough, not long after, the Furnace Army began to spread out in different directions.

"Huh? What's going on…" Lynn was puzzled but didn't rush into action.

After all, he still had an informant within the Furnace Army Colin was his eyes and ears.

As expected, moments later, he sensed a faint trace of the Azure Wave energy in a particular direction, and without hesitation, he pursued it.

Lynn discovered that the space he was in was vast, with diverse terrain open plains, dense forests, towering mountains, and deep lakes.

This time, following the faint trail Colin left, he arrived at a small valley.

Colin was waiting nearby. When he saw Lynn approaching, he spoke without waiting for questions:

"We're now in the fourth-layer maze. But unlike the previous three layers, we have to find our entrance to proceed. If we pass, we'll gain rewards."

"Originally, the fourth-layer entrance should have been easy to find, but the Furnace's power seems to have damaged something. Now, we must search for the entrances ourselves."

Colin continued.

Hearing this, Lynn suddenly understood. No wonder he hadn't found the fourth-layer entrance it was due to changes that occurred a month ago.

"By the way, Lynn, Riley is also searching for an entrance in this valley. You might run into him…"

Just as Colin finished speaking, both he and Lynn suddenly tensed and turned their gazes toward the distance.

The tall grass ahead rustled slightly, and a few figures emerged.

Leading them was none other than Riley Robert.

Lynn and Riley's eyes locked in an instant!
