"Obviously, it's to help with your training."
"H-Help? How exactly?" Obito stammered, already panicking.

Simu gave a meaningful grin as he knocked the stick lightly against the ground.

To increase the imitation value of Kaido, Simu had decided to act like that one notoriously brutal teacher.
He originally considered using a real mace, but remembering the current physiques of these little punks, he figured one good hit would send them straight to the afterlife.
So he settled for a wooden stick instead—though it was still ridiculously big.
"The training is simple: you three attack me with everything you've got."
Then, Simu drew a small circle on the ground around him.
"As long as you manage to force me out of this circle, you win. I'll even treat you to barbecue for a whole week."
The rules were straightforward.
But what Obito and the others didn't know was the unspoken condition:
If they failed… they'd get the beating of a lifetime.
Obito clenched his fists and punched the air enthusiastically.
"Yoshi! Watch closely as Master Obito shows his true power!"
Kakashi kept a close eye on Simu and the massive stick, trying to guess what his teacher was really planning.
Rin grabbed her ninja pouch, ready to support from behind.
Even Erwei, lounging nearby, gave a soft sigh.
These kids really had no fear of death, huh?
Obito charged forward without hesitation.
Rin quickly threw a few kunai to provide cover.
Of course, attacks of this level were completely useless against Simu.
Even if he just stood there and took them all head-on, he wouldn't get a scratch.
Still, to show a bit of respect, Simu symbolically dodged them with a little effort.
Then, Obito launched his signature—and only—Fire Style technique.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
The huge fireball came roaring forward, but Simu didn't hesitate.
He raised his massive wooden stick and slammed it straight into the fireball.
With a loud crash, the fireball was instantly scattered into flickering embers.

Obito shouted in disbelief.
"Idiot. That stick has some sort of special power."
Kakashi had already seen through the trick in a single glance.
That special power, of course, was Haki.
But aside from Simu, there wasn't a single other person in this world who even knew what that was.
"You're too sharp, Kakashi. As expected of my genius student."
Even while facing his own students, Simu maintained that same annoying smugness.
"A special power...?" Obito, for once, didn't snap back at Kakashi for calling him an idiot.
Instead, he locked his full attention on Simu.
This guy—he really thought he could beat him?
"Alright, now I'm serious!"
Obito adjusted his goggles with a look of determination.
He pulled a kunai from his pouch and used the Shadow Clone Technique.
Two Obitos charged toward Simu from opposite sides.
Unfortunately, under Simu's Observation Haki, Obito's Shadow Clone Technique was completely ineffective.
Simu saw right through everything.
When both Obitos were closing in from the left and right, Simu calmly raised the giant wooden stick.
Crackling lightning suddenly surged across the surface of the stick.
At that moment, Simu looked like the master of thunder itself!
"Thunder Eight Trigrams!"
The wooden stick, glowing with electricity, struck Obito squarely in the chest.
He'd hit the real body!
The combination of Lightning Release and Haki made Obito lose consciousness instantly.

Under Katsuyu's treatment, Obito's injury soon recovered.

The two Kakashis, along with the Obito clone, flanked Simu from both sides.
One of them pressed a seal to the ground.

Suddenly, a massive rock shot up from the ground.
The rock quickly formed into a ferocious coyote in mid-air, roaring and crashing toward Simu.
"It's really impressive. I didn't expect you to learn so many ninjutsu at such a young age."
For kids in ninja school, being able to learn a ninjutsu from a different attribute besides the basic Three Body Technique before graduation is already considered a talent.
And Kakashi had already shown one Wind Style ninjutsu and two Earth Style ninjutsu by this point.
With such terrifying talent, it's no wonder he became the youngest Jōnin in Konoha's history.
Simu casually swung his stick and easily smashed the attacking coyote.

Just as Obito regained his senses, he rushed toward Simu, yelling.
"Shadow Clone Technique!"
He used the Shadow Clone once again to surround Simu.
