Liam's POV
The fest announcement and the compulsory participation slightly ruffled me. It's not that I didn't like participating; I loved performing on stage.
But I was just afraid people would senselessly vote for me, and that would make me feel like I had no talent but only fame.
I rang the doorbell of my apartment fully aware that Madeline had already reached home from college, and a sense of warmth seeped through my chest.
The door slowly opened as Madeline stood across me, in fluffy blue pyjamas, she looked like a marshmallow.
I could never get used to this beautiful feeling.
Till now I never knew that somebody opening the door for you could feel so special.
''Hey,'' she said noticing that I hadn't come in yet.
''Hey,'' I greeted her back as she moved away from the door, giving me space to enter.
I closed the door with a thud and watched as Madeline sat at the dining table working on something.
