Mana Barrier: This spell is a self-cast spell that creates a barrier that will block damage from a magical attack, no matter the spell's level. This barrier will instantly shatter afterwards. This spell does not stop physical objects or attacks at this level. This spell requires physical motions and verbal words to cast. This is an instant cast spell that lasts an hour unless shattered.

Mana Sight: This spell allows the caster to see the movements of mana in the air. This intent cast spell does not require any steps to cast. Normally used for magical scouting, this spell allows the caster to, at a later level, identify information involving the fluctuation of mana in the air. This spell will grant more insights at later levels. This spell lasts five minutes and has a fifteen-minute cooldown.]
Justin couldn't help but stare at his information screen. He had recently leveled up past four and instantly hit level six in less than a day. Lying before the group, a large gekko-like creature with curved teeth like an angler fish, two tongues, and square-shaped eyes. Attempted to attack their group. Justin moved his hands with a smooth but fast waving motion to see how fast his magical attack was before he focused his thoughtful aim with Mana Bolt. The creature died instantly from being pierced through the skull. Anna had started directing the dead creature as its corpse seemed to have proper materials from her gaze.

Justin, Greyson, Kyle, and Mark had all moved to sit down and relax, eating food while Anna mutilated the dead monster's corpse.
"What is?" (Greyson)
Anna held up the tail, which was flat and oval-shaped like some breeds of gecko, but the tail on the monster was as large as her torso.
"If I properly prepare this, it can be a rudimentary shield without any major work on it." (Anna)
"I thought Gecko tails were more fat than bone, though." (Mark)
"Oh, that I wouldn't know, but for this creature, it seems like the tail of this monster was mutated to be more of a shield. It is mostly bone, skin, and muscle to allow fast movement. The bone is sturdy, even my tools can barely drill through it. If I treat it correctly, the skin will enable blades to slide right off, reducing the blunt force of an attack. So it will be an excellent shield." (Anna)
As she returned to work, Anna started pulling out the teeth with a smile. Mark leaned toward the others, whispering.
"Is it just me, or do you think she would get enjoyment out of pulling our teeth out like that as well?" (Mark)
"Have you seen how she acts when she doesn't have to touch others? I think you're safe." (Greyson)
