Sinclair lifted his gaze to dr. Alex, his voice low and deliberate.
"Are you certain?"
Though his tone gave nothing away, the authority in his words was unmistakable.
"Yes," dr. Alex released Sinclair's wrist and nodded solemnly.
"Your health is stable, and your previous condition has even shown signs of improvement.
This is good news."

Had he been overthinking it? Sinclair remained silent, leaning back into his chair once more.
His long fingers tapped rhythmically against the leather armrest in an absentminded cadence.

Dr. Alex wiped the cold sweat from his temple with a trembling hand.
After what felt like an eternity, Sinclair finally set down his teacup and lifted his gaze again.
