"Whew!!"
The moment Ramsey stepped out of the CEO's office, he slumped against the wall, gulping down deep breaths of fresh air.
Only when the chill from his back seeped in did he realize his shirt was completely drenched in cold sweat.
A department manager delivering reports happened to see Ramsey's shell-shocked expression and immediately tensed up.
"Assistant Ramsey, is President Luther in such a bad mood that even you couldn't handle it?!"
Ramsey didn't know how to respond, so he simply nodded.
"Uh, Assistant Ramsey," the manager stammered, his face paling.
"I just remembered—there are still some parts of the report that need polishing. I'll go back and revise them right away.
Pretend you never saw me, and I'll treat you to tea sometime."
Before Ramsey could reply, the manager practically sprinted away.
For someone nearing retirement, his agility and speed were downright impressive.
Ramsey's lips twitched in a humorless smirk. But he understood.
