The lights buzzed overhead.
The bleachers groaned under the weight of the roaring crowd. Banners waved. Phone cameras flashed. Coaches shouted final instructions, and the announcer's voice echoed across the speakers like a battle horn.
But I wasn't looking at the noise.
I was looking at my team.
My squad.

I stood at the edge of the court, eyes scanning the hardwood — but more importantly, the warriors stepping onto it.
