Three days have passed since we had cleaned the base, and things were slow once again.
The reason? We needed money to afford the furniture and supplies in order to accommodate me and the three sinners.
And the best way to do so, was either by doing commissions, or working at the video store.
You may be asking, why not find a job that pays well? Simple, I don't have the necessary papers to present myself for a job interview.
I was lucky enough to have an I.D, but pushing Nicole to get me birth certificate papers wont be easy, and it definitely wont be cheep, so, we just have to be lucky.
In the mean time, Nightingale finally had the chance to send the video that Summer had made. Once I had asked both Belle and Wise if we could watch the video, they agreed to do so once we had closed the store.
And that is the current situation on where we are at, Wise was done locking the doors, while Belle was finishing on counting the total sales we had accumulated.
"Well, I got some good news, and some bad news." Wise said while entering with a few bottles of water.
"What's wrong?" I asked him, he then showed me a few pieces por paper, on it, was the bill for the store.
Looking through it, everything seemed normal, the water bill was good, the same could be said for the rent, however, when I laid my eyes on the electrical bill.
"Oh, I see." Looking at it, the bill was higher than the rest of the utilities, and I became more concerned on why it was higher than the rest.
"Do you think it's because of Belle and Hella?" he closed his eyes in thought, letting out a low hum.
"Most likely, when ever I get up and head out into the hall, I can hear them screaming about beating some boss." He said, I could only sigh at his predicament.
"I'll try to have a talk with Hella to sleep on time, though I don't think it will be much of a difference." As soon as I said that, the staff door bursted open, slamming the poor bang boo that was behind it against the wall.
"There is no way that will ever happen, not even close!" Hella shouted, she stomped her way towards me and placed both her hands on her hips.
"You think just because we stay up to play games, we're causing the electrical bill to be higher than normal?" She demanded me to answer, with her eyes being narrow.
"Well, Belle is not contaminated, so she doesn't have the energy to stay awake for long periods of time." I told her, Hella couldn't argue with what's I said and could only look away.
"Fine, but we don't stay up too late, we just only watch movies." She said and looked at Belle, who was walking in with a large bowl of popcorn.
"Say's you, you wanted to watch Bang boo wick three and four." Hella stiffened at Belle's teasing.
"A-as if, it wasn't that interesting, it was cu- I mean boring, boring at best!" As the two of them continued to argue, I turned towards the H.D.D and had a theory.
"Fairy, are you the one who is causing the electrical bill to spike?" I asked the A.I.
{Affirmative, for me to access the inter knot to gather information, or to carry out any commands, I require large amounts of energy in order to process it all, that includes connecting the signal from your world.}
"I have to admit, for an all powerful A.I, it's not smart enough to somehow lessen the burden for you guys." Carache said, scaring only Wise.
"You really need a bell, I don't think I can handle any more of your stealth." He said while holding his chest.
"Get used to it, your sister already has." She said and sat next to me on the couch.
"So, are we finally going to watch the video Summer sent us?" She asked me, I placed the papers to the side and nodded my head.
"Yes, once we find her and bind her, we will be able to improve the base and have the necessary tools in order to find the rest of the sinners." Crache only hummed and plopped her head on the armrest of the couch.
"Alright then, let me get some blankets, and we're all set to watch the video!" Belle said with excitement and ran upstairs in her room.
As the five of us stare at Belle running out, Wise turned towards me and soon sat on the wheel chair in front of the large amounts of monitors.
"So, how good is the video going to be?" He asked me with curiosity in his eyes.
"Well, it's not really a video, it's more like a presentation." I said and recalled when she first showed me her so called 'masterpiece.'
"Oh, so a story board, did she ask for your opinion on how good it is?" He asked, I only shook my head.
"No, she only showed it to me, and when I tried to give my opinion, she just brushed it off." I replied, soon Belle came back with a few blankets in her arms.
"I got the blankets.~" She said in a sing song voice, tossing one blanket on me, Crache, Hecate, Hella, Wise, and me.
Hella instantly wrapped herself up and laid her entire body on the floor, and began to roll around.
Hecate herself sat next to me, and place the blanket over her legs, and sat up straight, Crache on the other hand grabbed hers and stared at it, she then shrugged and tossed it over her body and fell asleep.
Wise on the other hand did the same as Hecate, placing the blanket over his legs and leaned back on the chair he sat on.
Belle herself landed on my other side and was excited, giggling in excitement, I on the other hand placed the blanket over my legs as well.
"Alright, now that we're all comfy, Fairy, play the video!" Belle pointed at the T.V in front of us.
The T.V then began to play the video, the screen flickered for a few seconds, and soon it showed a picture of a girl laying in a destroyed area.
"The genius Summer has been transported to a new world, and soon awakens." The girl then opens her eyes and sat up quickly, rubbing her head.
The girl has pink hair that reaches her shoulder, with a part of her hair tied into a small pony tail behind her.
Her clothes consisted a school uniform, with her shirt being white, while the skirt was a dark blue, a black belt was around her waist, with two pouches on the left, both with a large star sticker.
Finally, she wore thigh high socks, and brown school shoes. What was a noticeable feature, was her round rim glasses, and behind them, were a pair of pink eyes.
The picture then switches, showing the girl smiling in happiness as she saw a large a half disc, with two robotic cannons.
"However, as soon as she had recovered her robotics companion, the enemies tried to strike behind her!" The girl then adjusted her glasses, causing them to block her eyes by bright light.
While the two canons fired red beams at the etherals that were trying to harm her, only to b torn to pieces with ease.
"However, Summer soon caught the attention of some of the locals in this world, and was able to make an… impression." The picture was then replaced with summer, snapping her head towards what looked like a few people.
Summer herself was sitting on the metallic weapon and was hovering in front of them, both of the canons were primed and ready to fire.
Her entire front body was covered by a large shadow, and the only thing that could be seen was the glasses that shined white.
The entire group were a bunch of solders, however, instead of blue and white, they wore black armor, and all off them had either a sword, gun, or a shield.
One of them soon led the entire group, and looked like a lead scientist, she didn't show any fear, and instead, offered her hand for a hand shake and smiled.
"However, instead of acting in aggression, they greeted her with a smile." The picture then showed Summer grabbing the hand, with the sun shining above as the two scientist shook hands.
The video then turns to black, and a to be continued could be seen in the center of the T.V.
"That's it, that's the video this little genius sent you?" Belle asked with disappointment, looking at me for answers.
She may be a genius in some areas, but making a video, not so much." Belle could only pout at my answer and shoved a handful of popcorn in her mouth.
"It was okay, I guess." She said with the popcorn in her mouth, chewing it loudly.
"I'll admit, it was pretty good for a story board, but is that really the first one?" Wise asked me.
"For now, I have to say yes, but the video gave us a clue." I then grabbed the remote and hit reverse, and pause it as soon as it showed Summer shaking the woman's hand.
"She is with a group of scientist that I can assume researches the hollow, however that brings us to the major problem, which group is she with?" The question then hung in the air, and the six of us stayed silent.
"That does make things difficult, it didn't even show what the scientist looked like." Wise placed his chin on his hand.
"Wise, this may be a random though, but can Fairy acces any camera within the city?" I asked him.
"Yes, but I'm more worried about the electrical bill." He said and looked at the paper with pain, as if he was feeling a knife dig into his wallet.
"You can skip my payment for this week, use it for the bill." I said with a kind smile and turned to Fairy.
"Fairy, with the picture of Summer from the video, can you locate her?" I asked the A.I
{Affirmative, please wait.} The screens behind wise began to change with multiple locations.
"How long do you think it will take Fairy to find her?" Wise asked, but all the screens stopped and the computer monitor showed a picture of Summer.
She was walking out of a convenience store with a large amounts of sweets in her arms. And she already had a few pieces of chocolate sticks in her mouth.
"Huh, guess she wasn't that hard to find, and… is that a 11 by 11 rubix cube?" He asked and pointed at a cube that was floating by her side.
"Yes, she uses it to entertain herself, once she has an understanding of something, she grows boar quickly." I said and saw the amount of snacks.
"And by the snacks she has in her arms, I'm assuming she was bribed and now works for those people." Hella then looked at the monitor and scoffed.
"Don't forget, she's a big nerd when it comes to anime, it's where she got her idea that she's a hero." She said and plopped her head on the ground.
"So, what can you tell us about Summer? Besides having a sweet tooth, and being a nerd." Belle said, curiously watching me.
"Summer was born weak, and was forced to live in a hospital most of her life." I started to explain, trying to remember the details on her file.
"However, she was gifted with high intelligence that was impossible to mesure." Wise could only let out a hum, while Belle looked not convinced.
"I'm sorry, but I'm finding that hard to believe, she looks like an average school girl." I couldn't blame her, not many could believe on my words alone.
"I can't blame you, but it's the truth, if we had both Fairy and Summer go against one another, Summer would win by a landslide." I said, causing Fairy to speak.
{Negative, I am an all powerful A.I, no human can go against me.} Even though Fairy couldn't change her tone, it wasn't hard to tell she was angry at my words.
"Then please, try to contact her so we can speak with her." I challenged the A.I.
{There is no need, I have attempted to reach out to her 3,420,690 times, and I have not succeeded once.} Both Belle and Wise looked at Fairy in shock, with their jaws wide open.
"I did tell you guys." I said and opened a water bottle.
{Warning, warning, hacker detected, attempting to halt the attempt, attempt failed…}
{Hello, hello, hello, anyone home?} Hearing the voice, I didn't need to turn around to see who it was, I only smiled and continued to listen.
{Oho is that the chief I see in the background? It is, chief, I made a few adjustments on the instant coffee, it'll keep you awake for at least two weeks straight}" She said with excitement in her voice.
Belle was now interested in the instant coffee and was about to ask, but I beat her to it, but with a different question.
"And what are the draw backs?" I asked her, Summer then coughed into her hand and acted with less confidence.
{Oh… uhh… there's…. a fifty percent chance you'll be in a coma once the coffee wears out, hehe.} It wasn't a surprise, whenever she made something that sounded useful, it came with a steep cost.
Hearing the draw back, Belle kept her lips closed and walked back to the couch slowly moving her head to look at me.
"She's a wolf in sheep's clothing." She whispered, her eyes filled with fear, seeing her like this, I gently held her hand and reassured her with a smile.
"Summer, can you tell us where your current location is at?" I asked her, but she didn't reply.
{…Nope, I like it here, the ether is something I want to study, it's so similar to mania, I just have to apply it to my drones, maybe I just want to research everything about it!} She giggled.
{But I'll give you a hint, it's what these two have to do soon, so I'll see you later chief, don't die!} She then ended the call, leaving us all in silence.
"Fairy, trace the signal back to its source." Wise ordered, after a few attempts from Fairy, it ended up as a failure.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but Summer isn't someone who wants to be disturbed when she is focused on something, believe me, I tried." I said with an exhausted smile..
"Fine, let's just continue her life story then." Hearing that we wont be able to find Summer anytime soon, Belle decided to focus on my story.
"As I was saying, most of her life she rested in the hospital due to being born with a weak body, however it was only temporary." I spoke once again.
"As soon as she was in junior high, she won first place by creating a miniature crane that ran on hyper cube." Belles eyes widened at what I said.
"At the age of twelve she had graduated from Eastside university, not only with an engineering degree, but a certificate on her research on Mania." It was Wise's turn to be surprised.
By the time she had reached fourteen, she was recruited by the Ring research institute. That is how smart she is." I said, neither of the siblings had words to say.
"Chief, I think you broke them again." Was all Hecate said before she, Hella, and Crache take both Belle and Wise upstairs for the night.
"I'm used to it at this point." I sighed and laid on the couch, closing my eyes and letting my slumber take over.
[Well, with the smart genius found, I wonder how they are actually going to find her, but its a good thing, I've seen the situation of the base, and let me tell you, it needs a lot of work.
