She waited patiently in the kitchen until the man was gone then she came out again.
"I was already making the pancakes." She muttered when she noticed Julio still seated there alone like he was deep in his thoughts.
"Well, eat them then. He's gone." Julio responded.
She had hardly seen him this way before and right now, she could tell that certainly, something was bothering him and eating into him. Martha walked over to where he sat then pulled herself a chair from the dining as she observed him.
"Did something happen?" She asked him.
Not like she was expecting a response. He was one that would not care. He had no heart or emotions to boast of. He hesitated and then looked up at her a little slowly then smiled wearily.
Something was there. She could tell that beyond all the looks of being the hardcore devil, he must have a sore spot. Hell, even the devil and his demons were once angels too and angels used to be compassionate.
