"What is it, dad?" She asked her father, building up the emotions on how she was going to deliver her response.
"What did you do?" He demanded over the phone.
"Nothing really. I simply thought of the best way to prove to you that I can handle myself and I came up with this. If I could easily steal their phone from them, do you still think that I need bodyguards?" She demanded.
There was a long string of silence from the other side as Pedro was thinking of the best way to respond. His rebellious daughter was trying to make things really hard for him and she was the one person he cared so much about. He had been protecting her all this while and the recent attempt on her life was something that really bothered him.
He might be in the mafia but he was not sure of his daughter's safety especially since she had decided that she would keep living far away from him.
