MAIN STORY:

Vanshu and Rohit hailed from a royal family, just like Ava and Dwan. Vanshu had been living in Thailand, pursuing her post-graduation at Bangkok University, but had returned to India after completing her graduation. Rohit, on the other hand, had taken over his father Satyanarayana's business, much like Dwan had taken over Surya's. It was only natural that the two would meet, and soon they found themselves falling deeply in love.

Today was the day of their engagement, a decision that Dwan had pushed for, wanting to tie the knot before Ava's health further deteriorated. Ava, once lost in memories of Ruby, had given up on life, but Dwan still made an effort to include her in every important occasion. She wheeled Ava into the engagement ceremony, dressed in a white shirt, red pants, and a red blazer, as per the theme. Ava's face was expressionless, her eyes vacant, as if she was oblivious to the world around her. Dwan, however, was bursting with excitement, her eyes shining with happiness.

As Rohit and his family arrived at the venue, Dwan went to greet them, her enthusiasm evident in every step. But just as she was about to welcome them, Rajesh and his family walked in, their presence sending a wave of emotions through Dwan. Rajesh, noticing Dwan's distress, gently asked her to go inside and let him handle the formalities. With a quiet dignity, he performed the rituals, welcoming Rohit and his family to the Taj Palace.

As Dwan watched from inside, her heart swelled with gratitude towards Rajesh, who had always been there for her. She knew that this engagement was just the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one that she would navigate with Rohit by her side. Despite Ava's absence from the world, Dwan was determined to make this day special, to celebrate the love that she and Rohit shared. And as she looked at Rohit, she knew that their bond would only grow stronger with time.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation, but beneath the surface, Dwan couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. Ava's condition had been deteriorating, and Dwan knew that their time together was limited. But for now, she pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the happiness that filled her heart. She was getting married to the love of her life, and nothing could be more beautiful than that.

As the engagement ceremony progressed, Dwan's excitement only grew. She couldn't wait to start this new chapter of her life with Rohit, to build a future together, and to create memories that would last a lifetime. And though Ava may not have been fully present, Dwan knew that she would always be there in spirit, watching over her and guiding her through the ups and downs of life.

The air was electric with anticipation as Rohit and Dwan prepared to exchange engagement rings. But just as they were about to do so, a voice rang out, "Stop! Don't do it without me." Everyone turned to see who was speaking, and their eyes widened in shock as they took in the sight of the person standing before them. It was Ruby, or at least, it seemed to be. Dwan, Rajesh, and Janvi were stunned, their minds reeling with the implications.

Dwan's voice trembled as she spoke, "Ruby?" Rajesh stood frozen, unable to process the fact that his sister, whom he had thought was dead, was standing right in front of him. Rohit's reaction was different, however. "Where's Ruby?" he asked, confusion etched on his face. "What do you mean she's alive?"

Dwan pointed to the woman standing before them, "Look, she's right here." But Rohit shook his head, "No, no, you're mistaken. This is my sister, Vanshika Agnihotri." Dwan's eyes narrowed, "How can you say that? She looks exactly like Ruby." Rohit's expression remained unwavering, "What are you talking about?"

Dwan's determination was palpable as she turned to a servant, "Bring the photo that Ava took with Ruby on her wedding day." The servant nodded and returned with a large photo frame. As everyone gazed at the picture, Vanshu's eyes widened in shock. She stared at the photo, her voice barely above a whisper, "This is me... but when did I get married to Ava?"

Dwan's voice was firm, "This is Ruby, not you." The room was filled with tension as everyone struggled to make sense of the situation. Vanshu's eyes darted between Dwan and the photo, her mind racing with questions. How could this be? Why did she look so much like Ruby? And what was going on?

As the truth began to unravel, it became clear that nothing was as it seemed. The past was shrouded in mystery, and the present was filled with uncertainty. But one thing was certain – the revelation would change everything. The question on everyone's mind was – what would happen next?

Rohit's grip on Dwan's hand tightened as he pleaded, "Wan, please, can we talk about this later? Today is a huge day for us, our engagement ceremony, and I'd rather not ruin it with all this. Let's focus on the celebration and discuss everything else afterwards." Dwan's thoughts echoed Rohit's, she didn't want to spoil this momentous occasion in her life either. Rajesh, too, tried to convince himself that Ruby was truly gone, and they needed to move on. But how could they forget the past when the present seemed to be mirroring it? The sight of Vanshu, who looked uncannily like Ruby, was a harsh reminder of what they had lost.

The question lingered in everyone's mind - could they truly let go of the past and move on? Dwan nodded in agreement with Rohit, "Alright, let's proceed with the engagement. We can talk about everything else later." But Vanshu's attention was diverted from the ceremony. She walked over to Ava, who sat quietly, observing the scene unfold. As everyone was engrossed in the engagement ceremony, Vanshu took the opportunity to slip away with Ava.

As they moved to the side, Vanshu's eyes locked onto Ava's face, searching for any glimmer of recognition or emotion. Ava's expression remained impassive, but Vanshu sensed a deep sadness emanating from her. She wondered what Ava was thinking, whether she too was grappling with the revelation that had shaken them all. Vanshu's thoughts swirled with questions and doubts, but she knew she had to be strong for Ava's sake. She took Ava's hand in hers, trying to offer what little comfort she could.

In that moment, Vanshu felt a sense of responsibility wash over her. She knew she had to protect Ava, to be there for her, no matter what lay ahead. As they stood there, away from the chaos of the engagement ceremony, Vanshu felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that she would face whatever challenges came their way, side by side with Ava.

Vanshu's eyes locked onto Ava's face, her voice filled with concern as she asked, "Who are you? Why do I feel so attached to you? And why are you in this state? Why don't you talk to anyone? What thoughts are you lost in?" Ava, who had been sitting like a lifeless statue mere moments ago, slowly raised her face to look at Vanshu. As their eyes met, it was as if a spark of electricity ran through her body. Ava's hand reached out, grasping Vanshu's tightly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Ruby, forgive me, please. Come back to me. Don't leave me again. I love you so much, Ruby." Ava's words were laced with desperation, her eyes pleading with Vanshu. Just as Ava's emotions seemed to be reaching a boiling point, the doctor intervened, administering an injection that rendered her unconscious. The doctor's voice was stern as he turned to Vanshu, "What were you doing? You know she's fragile."

Vanshu's voice trembled, "I was just trying to talk to her." The doctor's expression was grave, "You need to understand, the more she remembers Ruby or is reminded of her, the closer she gets to... You need to stay away from her, if possible." The doctor's words sent a chill down Vanshu's spine, and she felt a wave of fear wash over her.

As the doctor's words lingered in the air, Vanshu's eyes welled up with tears. She turned away from Ava's unconscious form and walked over to her mother, Kalyani, who stood watching the engagement ceremony. Vanshu's voice was barely audible as she leaned in close to her mother, seeking comfort and guidance in the midst of the chaos that surrounded her. The uncertainty and fear that gripped her heart were palpable, and she knew she needed her mother's reassurance to navigate the complex emotions that threatened to overwhelm her.
