After the beast tide overwhelmed cities and clans alike, Thutmose, now the highest-ranking royal left alive, had issued a continent-wide evacuation order. All civilians whose cities had been destroyed had to be moved to the nearest one.
No one truly knew what had happened. The craters, the vanished warriors, the scorched lightning-blackened soil—none of it made sense.
But after several hours of silence and speculation, mana-powered transport ships arrived to evacuate the survivors from the destroyed cities. With no homes left to return to, they were relocated to the few cities still standing—crowded but intact. The process took two days, filled with silent stares, unspoken grief, and rising suspicion.
