Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 : Luffy, Devil Fruit Again

Sanji was using Moonwalk, but his focus wasn't on training—he was fuming with jealousy all over again.

With Princess Vivi joining them, that bastard Carl now had the perfect excuse to admire the curves of the three beauties under the guise of "supervising training."

Heh, only Sanji could see through Carl's true wolfish ambitions!

It was the dream of countless men to be an instructor for beautiful women, and Carl was living that dream!

Carl, noticing Sanji's growing frustration, rolled his eyes and ignored him, continuing to supervise everyone's morning exercises.

Even Ricky and Karoo were forced to do squats, while Moo Moo had been assigned to catch more prey.

There were simply no animal rights here!

Carl even shamelessly told Karoo, "Everyone here shares the same surname as Garp. Garp is incredibly strong, so we can't afford to slack off!"

Hearing this, Karoo looked utterly dejected—it was just a duck!

After a few days at sea, they finally spotted land. A primitive, untamed atmosphere seemed to rush toward them.

The Straw Hats immediately perked up with excitement, and Luffy shouted at Sanji to prepare a bento, claiming he could smell adventure.

Nami, however, looked around cautiously.

"The plants on this island… I've never seen anything like them. They're so huge… something feels off."

Feeling uneasy, she quickly flipped through her book for information.

When she finally found it, her face paled.

"This… This is a prehistoric island… It's called Little Garden! It's a surviving remnant from ancient times! Because it's been isolated from the rest of the Grand Line, it still preserves a civilization from the past!"

In simpler terms—it was the age of dinosaurs!

The island was crawling with dangerous beasts, venomous plants, and lethal insects. Most people who set foot here wouldn't survive for long.

As for why it was called Little Garden, Nami had no idea.

The moment Usopp heard how dangerous it was, he clutched his chest dramatically and dropped to his knees.

"Ah! I just remembered! I suddenly have a disease that prevents me from going on the island!"

Despite his growing strength, Usopp's cowardice kicked in the moment danger was mentioned.

Nami forced out a nervous laugh.

"Y-Yeah… We really don't need to land on such a dangerous island, do we…?"

"Yosh! Get ready! It's adventure time!"

Luffy, carrying the bento Sanji had prepared, charged straight into the jungle, completely ignoring Nami's concerns.

Zoro and Sanji, feeling the thrill of the unknown, grinned—they were eager for the challenge.

"This place is perfect for hunting! I'm gonna catch some massive prey—the kind that perverted cook could never dream of catching!"

"Nani?! You think I didn't hear that?! How dare you claim you can catch something bigger than me?!"

"Isn't it obvious? I have Haki. You don't!"

The two locked eyes, sparks flying between them like a brewing storm.

Sanji gritted his teeth. "Fine! Let's have a hunting competition! Whoever catches the biggest prey wins!"

Zoro smirked. "Tch. Sounds good to me."

Neither was willing to back down. Without another word, they turned in opposite directions and stormed into the forest, each determined to outdo the other.

Watching the scene unfold, Carl casually sat on Ricky's back.

"Alright, Ricky, land hunting is your specialty. Don't let those two idiots steal all the good prey! Momoo, you guard the ship this time. Let's go catch some dinosaurs for dinner!"

"Roar!" Ricky let out a fierce growl, though whatever he meant was lost without a translator. Looked like they'd have to wait until Chopper joined the crew to understand him.

With that, Carl and Ricky dashed into the forest, leaving behind the weakest members of the group—Tashigi, Vivi, and Igaram.

Igaram looked around anxiously. "Your Highness… it seems like the strongest members of the Straw Hats have all run off..."

Nami and Usopp blinked as realization hit them.

Wait a minute—the strongest fighters just abandoned them here!

The island was crawling with dangers. If they had followed Luffy or Carl, wouldn't that have been safer?!

The moment they processed this, both clutched their heads in regret.

Why didn't we follow them?!

Meanwhile, Jango, though visibly nervous, mustered his courage.

"How about we explore the island too? It's not every day we get to visit a new place. It'd be a shame not to check it out! Besides, we've got a good-sized group, and three of us have Devil Fruits. We should be fine!"

Nami and Usopp hesitated.

Then, something clicked.

That's right! They weren't weak anymore!

After enduring hellish training under their demon instructor, they had grown much stronger. What were a few dinosaurs compared to that?!

Usopp grinned, gripping his massive slingshot.

"That's the spirit! Let's conquer this prehistoric island—"

BOOM!

The ground trembled violently.

A colossal shadow loomed over them.

A massive head leaned toward the Merry and let out a deep, rumbling laugh.

"Kabababa! Oi, you got any booze?"

At this moment, Carl and Ricky had ventured deep into the forest.

As expected of the Lion King, Ricky tore through the smaller predators with ease, completely unstoppable. The larger dinosaurs, however, were left for Carl to deal with.

With a single slash, Carl took down a Triceratops, slicing off a hefty portion of thigh meat on the spot. Using his electric powers, he grilled the meat right then and there.

No oil, no salt—but the pure, original flavor was still incredible.

These dinosaurs spent their days sprinting across the land, developing firm, lean muscles. The meat was exceptionally chewy, but in a satisfying way.

Carl and Ricky gorged themselves until their bellies were swollen, surrounded by nothing but dinosaur bones.

Dinosaur meat was seriously delicious!

"Luffy, this dinosaur meat is amazing! Let's get more—we can stock up for a few days!" Carl said excitedly.

"Roar! Roar-roar!" Ricky responded enthusiastically.

One man and one beast continued deeper into the jungle.

Carl suddenly remembered something and quickly pulled out a new Devil Fruit radar from his pocket.

He had given the previous radar to Dragon, but this new one had been crafted using the remains of Nami's Devil Fruit—so the quality was definitely top-tier.

Carl pressed the button, watching as bright spots appeared on the small screen. His eyes lit up.

"Luffy! There's a Devil Fruit nearby! Let's go check it out—maybe it's the perfect one for you!"

"Roar! Roar-roar!"

Ricky was so excited he nearly leaped into the sky.

Ever since the weak trio had eaten their Devil Fruits, Ricky, the Lion King, had been pushed to the bottom of the crew's combat rankings. Naturally, his status had suffered as well.

But now—finally—a new Devil Fruit had appeared! Surely, this time it would be his!

Following the radar's guidance, they pushed through the jungle for another two hours before reaching an enormous lake.

In the center of the lake, a massive plesiosaur swam recklessly, its razor-sharp teeth flashing in and out of the water. Just the sight of them made Carl's scalp tingle.

But something felt off.

Wait… Carl narrowed his eyes.

This thing had terrifying fangs, clearly a carnivorous dinosaur—but with such a long neck, how the hell did it even eat?!

Beep! Beep!

The radar signaled the exact location of the Devil Fruit.

Carl looked down.

Dead center of the lake.

"...You've gotta be kidding me."

He was a landlubber.

Was he seriously supposed to tear the lake apart just to get it?!
