Time passed quickly for Ryan while he was locked in his cell, training all day and sleeping at night, with a visit from Uncle Iroh keeping him company sometimes.
But even with so much hard work, he still couldn't even levitate off the ground at this level, he would grow old before he can't even fly.
"Damn this is so boring."
As he was about to take a break, the ship started shaking violating as it made contact with probably ice.
"It's time, finally, I waited and waited. HEYYYYYYYY!"
The guard at the door, hearing the scream, turned to look at him as a gust of wind pulled his head violently into the door visor bars, knocking him out.
Ryan dismisses his stance and runs to the visor, checking left and right. Most of the Imperial guards who were constantly watching him were with Zuko, now trying to catch the Avatar.
Pulling his hand through the open door visor bars, he made a quick pull motion as the keys flew in his hand.
Unlocking the door, he checked left and right, then started running to his right.
Sprinting with all his might and the help of airbending, he finally reached the last door. Opening it, he was met with a guard eating their food.
"Oops."
"AFTER HIM."
Pushing his hands forward, he pushed the air between himself and the guards eating lunch, sending them flying into the walls.
He began running back from where he was, trying to find the exit to this metallic ship.
He could stay and fight the waves of guards in these right corridors, but he didn't know the layout, which could cost him his freedom again, as they could just come from both sides.
So he didn't risk it and kept running till he finally found the door out while jumping over some more guards.
Breathing the cold, clean air was a pleasure to his lungs, and the Air Bending.
Looking down from the ship, he spots Zuko and his guard, who were questioning the water tribe, probably about the Avatar's whereabouts.
"Time for some revenge hehehe."
Jumping down from the ship, Ryan landed effortlessly and without a sound behind Zuko.
Arching his leg, he sent a devastating kick right in his nuts while extending both of his arms to push the cold air, sending Zuko's Imperial guards flying into the cold water
"YOUUU! I WILL MURDER YOU!"
Zuko tried to send a flaming fist towards his face, but it was grabbed by Ryan, and with the help of Air Bending, he threw him into the cold water.
Now remaining only Uncle Iroh, who raised his hands in peace.
Ryan didn't even bother to look at him as he used his Air Bending to start booking it, full speed.
Seeing just what happened, all the Water tribe members were shocked at how their attackers were effortlessly dealt with.
He peeked behind and saw both Team Avatar and Zuko with his guards chasing him.
"Tho Zuko probably chases Aang, they chase me cuz I'm a Air Bender… hmm I can't live long in this place it is too cold so I better team up to leave this cold place."
Slowing down a little, they finally catch up to Ryan, and the first to start the conversation is the excited Aang.
"That was awesome, how you defeated the scar-faced guy, you are an Air Bender, right Me too!"
"Aang, we can talk right now, he still followed us and I can't keep running for long."
Both Katara and Sokka, barely having any breath from all the running, reminded Aang.
"Do you guys have any type of transportation, or else they will catch us."
Ryan knew in the first place that the shit food he got all these weeks couldn't keep his body running for long and with the number of Fire Benders they were outmatch but ofcourse he couldn't just say bring that damn flying byson already.
"Yes, we do follow me, Appa can take us out of here, and could you carry Sokka, please we need to hurry."
Aang said in a childlike tone as Sokka was barely keeping up while he grabbed Katara and started accelerating.
"Bruh."
Ryan grabbed Sokka and followed Aang towards their escape.
As Appa was finally in reach, Ryan, with a graceful leap, made it on top of Appa with Sokka after Aang and Katara.
"Wait, Aang, but what would they do to our village?"
Katara asked Aang while Appa began to fly, but was met with Ryan's answer.
"They won't have time to do anything, they want me and Aang, they wouldn't waste time on your village, and my name is Ryan, by the way."
"Ryan? Such a strange name mines Sokk—. HEY THAT HURTS"
"I'm sorry for my disrespectful brother, mine's Katara."
Katara replies with a sincere apology for her brother, which Ryan didn't mind.
"Yo, Ryan, are you from the temple?"
At Aang's questions, both Katara and Sokka turned to Ryan as their eyes were practically asking the same question
"My mother died while I was young, and I didn't get to meet my father, so I can't say I know about the temple."
"Sorry, Ryan, we didn't want to…" Katara was the first to apologize, but Ryan cut her off.
"It's alright, I moved on." 'Of course, lying to kids is as easy as taking candy from a kid.'
Leaning on his back, Ryan finally got a moment to breathe, but the moment was quickly interrupted by Aang's question.
"Would you like to join us? We are going to find a master to teach me Water Bending to save the world." Aang, with a bright smile, exclaimed.
"Sure, I don't have anywhere else to go."
