"You seem busy. Did Patrick overload you with too many assignments?" Alex's concerned voice came from the other end, prompting Aurora to smile as she powered down her computer.
She wasn't busy with Patrick's tasks; instead, she was preoccupied with her own matters and dealing with Renata, who had been bothering her all day.
After almost two months of being reborn as Aurora Spencer, having someone she could talk to as her true self made her feel better.
"Yeah, I'm finished. Well, he didn't give me more work today. And he seems preoccupied with something and forgot to assign any assignment to me."
