Zombies are approaching. Does these mindless things have any other work than ripping living animal's brain?
Both Roze and Henry was hiding in woods . Henry crouched as the edge to peek. Henry was sweating as his brain started to mock him. Henry looked back at Roze who was napping. Henry was confused.
Henry asked Roze quietly,
" These zombies are very annoying. Aren't they? Like saying queer words and throwing weird slimy stuff. "
Roze inhales while making noise and said,
" It's very queer too... that we bury the dead but forget to bury our sins. Being undead has its perks. No taxes, no bills, no feelings, just endless cardio. I wish, I was one from the very beginning. "
Henry laughed in low voice.
" I see. Even grave couldn't hold their hunger. By the way, what should we do now? It seems dangerous out there. I can't just sit here while people are shouting for help there. "
Henry held his revolver tight and went out seeing the area empty..... for now.
Roze went out seeing Henry's gut shinning.
There was two big buildings in a distance. Some zombies crowded and knocking the doors. Many people are hiding inside there.
Henry asked Roze if she could clear the way so he can go inside. There are so many zombies. He can't waste his bullets. Roze was hesitating for a moment.
" I can but not now. My current thaum state is weaker than usual. Thaum is basically someone's life source. Your health has a huge effect on it. I am not sure how far my light will spark. But I will strategize a plan. "
Said Roze with a serious look.
Roze drew a sword in midair using her index finger as brush. After she finished drawing, a spark of light blew, a light saber came in life floating Infront of its mistress. Henry was impressed seeing what Roze can do.
Henry hurrily moved to south part of the buildings taking cover. While Roze went to distract the crowd at herself.
Henry slowly approached behind the building. Two zombies were hanging around. His revolver holding eight bullets in the cylinder. Henry teared up their head from behind taking a broken piece of glass.
He maintained distance or it could poison him. Henry opened the screws of steel windows using screwdriver and jumped in a room. The family living there was scared. They was shuddering. The home was messy and lacking of households. Looks like a poor family somehow living in the sewer.
The little girl with a doll was hugging her mother tightly. She was afraid, crying. She slowly mumbles, " Why are we so alone? "
Henry felt mercy for them. His eyebrows lightened.
" You are not alone— "
The Father shouted, " Go away! We don't need any excuse! Those fake love, protection. All you do is just for money! "
" It's not like that. Maybe the world is one but guess what? I am zero. Because I am the only. I've seen dark days, but families like yours reminds me what we are fighting for. "
The Father believes Henry as his appearance started to shine, like he just saw an angel.
Henry called the child closer. Mother was afraid to send her but she let her go still.
Henry smiled and cleans the tear of the girl.
" You look very wise. Can you teach me what is the solution of 3, space, 5, space, 7? If you fail to solve it I will throw your parents outside. "
" What? That's so easy. First it will 4 and then it's 6. It's a pattern. Because there is 2 gaps between and..... then..... "
" Haha, you succeeded. You don't need to tell it. I can read your mind. I understood what you wanted to explain. "
Henry gave the child a lollipop and she smiled taking it from him swiftly.
Henry's expressions changed.
" Okay sis. As the rules, I lost. I am going outside. See ya! "
Henry goes out from the window after closing it. Henry hurrily checked all the rooms and places. For now, it's all safe. Zombies are struggling to fight against those doors.
Henry ran faster and then fell on ground. His hat lying near him. His bandage is visible. Henry forced himself and stood up. Focusing his all thaum in a single point, his left palm. Making him struggle and feel pain less but he can't do this technique for a long time. He needs to rest somewhere but Roze is alone.
He reached the place where he left Roze. Many zombies were lying on the more. More are approaching. Roze was fighting with a giant zombie. Which was double from her size.
It seems like very different from other zombies. Is it an abnormal one? Body is slipping and disturbing but Roze managed to digest all of that. She really has the warrior instincts. Giant Zombie's face was messy, a vanguard hat was pinned on head. Dress are barely in good shape. Wait.... isn't that vanguard uniform? Also it has many spikes on the back.

At Henry's house, Zombies are hanging out. Jeena and Marsh are rolling on the bed and waiting for Henry to come. A young lady sitting on the edge of the bed. Lying her legs down. Her eyes calm and depressed. Wearing a silvery peplos.
As Marsh and Jeena came to her reach and slept on her lower limbs, she adored them. A grass breaking sound came. She looked up. Her golden eyes with embers in blue, nice silvery hair lightened the room.
Two black feathered wings rose behind her. Some feathers falling down, each shining like firefly. She was ready as the floor under feet started to crack.

A person slowly coming up through stairs. Vain took another sip making noise.
The guy was wearing a mask and a green cape. He slowly put his mask off. The place crumbles and many dead arose from the underworld, surrounding Vain from everywhere.
Vain's eyebrows turned strict.
