Chapter 126 - Chapter 36

Mt. Lady, despite her earlier giddiness over Ace, quickly shifted gears. The call from her agency had been clear: a villain was causing chaos downtown, and she was the closest hero available. It was an opportunity she couldn't pass up.

A tiny part of her regretted having to cut her morning short with Ace. He had been surprisingly charming, and she found herself genuinely enjoying his company. But duty called, and the chance to boost her reputation and climb the hero rankings was too tempting to ignore.

With a determined glint in her eyes, Mt. Lady followed the directions to the scene, her mind already strategizing how to make the biggest impact. The press would be there, and she needed to deliver a performance that would leave them clamoring for more.

As she rounded the corner, she finally saw the source of the commotion. A hulking figure with massive, shovel-like claws was tearing through the street, ripping up pavement and smashing storefronts. It was the Mole Imagin, its dark brown hide glistening with sweat as it carved a path of destruction.

What the heck is that? Yu thought, surprised. She hadn't recognized him, but she could tell he was dangerous. She'd never seen a villain like him before. But that didn't matter. She was Mt. Lady, and she was here to stop him.

"Alright, dirtbag!" she shouted, her voice booming across the street. "Time to pack it up! You're going to jail!"

The Mole Imagin paused in its rampage, its beady eyes fixing on her. It let out a guttural growl, flexing its massive claws. Mt. Lady could feel the ground tremble beneath her feet, a clear sign of the Imagin's immense power.

Okay, maybe this won't be as easy as I thought, Yu mused, a flicker of doubt crossing her mind. But she quickly banished it. She was a Pro Hero, and she wouldn't back down from a fight. Not now, not ever. She transformed to her full height and squared her shoulders. The camera bulbs flashed.

"Let's dance, moley!" she declared, cracking her knuckles. "Time for you to face the music."

The Mole Imagin's growl deepened, a sound of wicked glee vibrating the ground. Finally, someone who can entertain me. A worthy opponent to test his digging prowess. He lowered himself to the ground and began to claw the concrete and the soil. The sound of rock grinding echoed.

"Oh no you don't!" Mt. Lady stomped her foot, trying to stop him. But the Mole Imagin was already sinking into the earth. In moments, only a gaping hole remained. The cameras flashed, capturing the moment when the villain escaped. Yu was starting to sweat.

Seriously? A dirt-diving mole? Yu fumed, scanning for any sign of the Imagin. The ground rumbled, but it was hard to pinpoint where he was. The Mole Imagin was moving quickly beneath her. The ground shook again, closer this time.

Suddenly, a section of pavement exploded as the Mole Imagin burst from the earth, aiming its massive claws at Mt. Lady's feet. She leapt back just in time, narrowly avoiding a nasty gash. Okay, this guy is serious.

The Mole Imagin disappeared again, tunneling back beneath the surface. Mt. Lady was at a loss, feeling him dig under her. Her size made it difficult to track him. She was too big to sense the minute vibrations of the earth. Mt. Lady was at a disadvantage. She needed to think.

As the Mole Imagin tunneled closer, Mt. Lady knew she had to act fast. She couldn't let him keep popping up and attacking her. She closed her eyes, focusing on the sounds around her. The distant sirens, the shouts of the crowd, and the faint but constant rumble of the Mole Imagin beneath the ground.

He's heading towards that building! Mt. Lady thought, recognizing the subtle shift in the earth's vibrations. She smirked, a plan forming in her mind. "Alright, dirtbag," she muttered, a grin spreading across her face. "Let's see how you like this!"

Planting her feet, Mt. Lady braced herself, anticipating the Imagin's emergence. She focused all her senses, waiting for the telltale tremor that would signal his next strike. The crowd held its breath, cameras poised to capture the decisive moment. Yu knew she had to nail this. She had to show that she could deal with this thing.

With a mighty heave, Mt. Lady slammed her fists into the side of the building the Imagin was heading towards. [CRUMBLE] Chunks of concrete rained down, exposing the steel skeleton within. She grinned, confident that she'd flushed him out. The cameras flashed.

But the earth remained still. No telltale rumble. The crowd was silent. Something wasn't right.

Suddenly, a searing pain tore through Mt. Lady's back. She cried out, stumbling forward. The world swam before her eyes. [SLASH]

The Mole Imagin materialized behind her, its claws dripping with something dark and viscous. Yu fell forward. It had been a feint. He'd used the sound of his movements to trick her, appearing behind and attacking her. She had miscalculated. Now, she was paying the price.

Yu struggled to regain her footing. The wound burned like fire. She looked at the Imagin, who cackled.

"You were too focused on the building, lady. You forgot about your own back."

The crowd gasped, their cheers turning into murmurs of fear. The cameras clicked. Mt. Lady, the confident, attention-loving hero, was vulnerable.

Just as the Mole Imagin was about to deal the final blow, a series of violet energy blasts ripped through the air, striking the Mole Imagin square in the chest. [BBBBBBBBBBBBBT]

The Mole Imagin stumbled back, clutching its chest, its cackle turning into a pained grunt. All eyes turned to the source of the attack.

Leaping from a nearby rooftop, Kamen Rider Den-O landed gracefully, striking a flamboyant pose. He was clad in his Gun Form, the purple armor gleaming in the afternoon light. His helmet, shaped like a dragon's head, swiveled, the orange eyes focusing on the Mole Imagin. Ryutaros was in control.

"You shouldn't harm onee-san like that!" Ryutaros declared, his voice echoing through the street. "Mind if I defeat you? I can't hear your answer!" [BBBBBBBBBBBBBT]

Ryutaros opened fire again, unleashing a barrage of energy bullets. The Mole Imagin, caught off guard, scrambled to evade the onslaught, darting left and right.

"Damn you, Kamen Rider!" the Mole Imagin cursed, narrowly avoiding another shot. "Ruining my fun!"

He burrowed back into the earth, hoping to escape Den-O's relentless assault. Ryutaros, however, was ready for him. He anticipated where the Mole Imagin would emerge.

Ryutaros unleashed a hail of gunfire, blasting apart the sidewalk and forcing the Imagin back underground. Ryutaros continued to fire, not letting up for a second.

Yu, struggling to stand, stared in disbelief at the scene unfolding before her. Kamen Rider? Here? Saving her?

She had heard the rumors, of course. The masked vigilante who fought with mysterious powers, the one who killed villains without hesitation. She never thought she would meet him, much less be rescued by him.

Did he just save me? Yu pondered, dazed. But isn't he a vigilante?

Den-O's reputation didn't matter. She was alive. For now. The question was, what would happen once the Mole Imagin was dealt with? Would he turn on her too?

From deep beneath the asphalt, the Mole Imagin launched himself upward, trying to blindside Den-O. Ryutaros, however, with Ace's reflexes and a touch of Imagin speed, was more than ready. He backflipped away from the attack, firing a couple of shots into the hole the Mole Imagin emerged from for good measure.

"That all you got, dirtbag?" Ryutaros jeered, twirling his DenGasher Gun Mode. "You're gonna have to do better than that if you want to beat ore!"

Ryutaros, switch to Rod Form! Ace urged, recognizing that the Imagin's earth-based abilities gave him the advantage. Urataros is better suited for this fight.

"Ehhh?" Ryutaros whined. "I want to dance more!"

Ace didn't have time for Ryutaros's antics. Switch now!

"Fine, fine," Ryutaros grumbled, surrendering control.

Even before the words were fully formed in his mind, Urataros was already moving. He pressed the blue button on the Den-O belt with practiced ease. Rod Form! The change was swift, the purple armor morphing into sleek blue, the dragon-esque features streamlining into a turtle's grace. He converted DenGasher into its pole form.

"Now, now," Urataros murmured, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Let's see if we can't reel in this little earthworm."

He plunged the DenGasher Rod into the nearest hole and tried to detect the Mole Imagin's movement. The earth rumbled, but the source was too deep.

Seeing his new opponent, the Mole Imagin scoffed. A fishing pole isn't going to catch me. He retreated to the ground, trying to create a tunnel to escape.

"Oh, no you don't," Urataros said, twirling the DenGasher Rod. "I never allow my prey to escape."

The Mole Imagin moved faster, digging quickly. Urataros realized the Mole Imagin was going to escape, so he jumped to the highest point and detected where the Imagin would emerge. But it was too late. He was gone.

"Well, that's just rude, isn't it?" Urataros said, disappointed.
