Chapter 107 - #107

If there's anyone in the ninja world with the sharpest sense for magnetic fields and lightning, it's Mufasa.

He could feel it—an enormous buildup of electric ions in the sky. This wasn't just a stray storm; it was a large-scale ninjutsu, something capable of devastating an entire village.

The sun had long set, and darkness had settled over the land. The once relaxed atmosphere shifted as Mufasa's face turned serious. Just moments ago, he had been joking with Tsunade, but now, his entire demeanor had changed.

Tsunade noticed the sudden shift. "What's wrong?" she asked, a tinge of worry in her voice.

Mufasa let out a sigh. "Konoha really knows how to attract trouble."

Before she could question him further, a voice called out urgently. Shizune and Shikamaru rushed over, their expressions grim.

"Lady Tsunade, we have a problem!" Shikamaru panted. "The village is under attack. A horde of undead creatures is surrounding us!"

Tsunade's eyes widened. "What?!"

She didn't hesitate. "Get back to the Hokage Tower! We need to coordinate our defenses."

Mufasa narrowed his eyes at the mention of undead. He had a feeling he knew who was behind this.

Kazuma.

Once a member of the Guardian Shinobi Twelve, Kazuma had been harboring resentment against Konoha for years. If he was making his move now, then this attack wasn't just some mindless assault—it was strategic.

He must be planning to use the Lightning Style: Limelight.

Limelight was an ultimate ninjutsu that required four users standing in the cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west. When fully activated, the center of the jutsu would be obliterated in a storm of concentrated lightning, reducing everything to ashes.

The problem? It only worked if all four users were in position. Take one out, and the entire technique would collapse.

Mufasa considered his options. Could he counter it?

Meanwhile, just outside the village, Kazuma stood atop a tree, watching the unfolding chaos. His expression was calm, indifferent.

He had spent years preparing for this.

Using Earth Style: Corpse Puppet Reincarnation, he had revived the four fallen Thunder Style users—Kitane, Tōu, Seito, and Nauma.

Each one had taken their designated position around Konoha, ready to unleash the jutsu.

Kazuma's plan had come together sooner than expected, thanks in part to the Fire Daimyo, Yoshimitsu.

It all started when the Land of Rivers reported that Kakashi had assaulted their daimyo's son, Momonosuke.

The complaint had quickly reached Yoshimitsu's ears, and given his already tense relationship with Konoha—exacerbated by Danzo's past actions—he saw this as the final insult.

Kazuma had seized the opportunity.

"You see, my lord," Kazuma had said, "Konoha has become reckless, defiant. They need to be humbled."

Yoshimitsu had nodded in agreement. "They've grown arrogant. They must be reminded of their place."

Kazuma hadn't revealed his full plan to the Daimyo, only stating that he would "teach Konoha a lesson" with an undead army. Yoshimitsu, convinced, had given his blessing.

Now, the attack had begun.

Back in Konoha, Tsunade had reached the Hokage Tower, issuing commands as fast as she could. Reports flooded in from all corners of the village. The undead were advancing, their numbers seemingly endless.

"Deploy defensive squads to the gates! Evacuate civilians to the shelters!" she ordered.

Shikamaru grimaced. "We have a problem, Lady Tsunade. Our forces are stretched too thin. Most of our top jonin are out on missions for the Daimyo."

Tsunade's hands clenched into fists. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks.

"Dammit… This was planned."

First, a sudden influx of high-priority missions.

Now, a surprise attack.

Someone had orchestrated this.

BAM! Someone knocked on the office window. Tsunade turned sharply—only to see Mufasa floating in the air, chakra magnetism keeping him aloft. Behind him, a group of civilians and shinobi clung to his magnetic field.

"Yo, need a hand?" he asked, his usual smugness replaced with urgency.

As a businessman, Mufasa wasn't just going to let his investments get wiped out. Sand Ninja shops on the outskirts of the village were prime targets. Their employees—civilians—had no way to defend themselves.

Without hesitation, he had rushed to their aid.

A single electromagnetic laser tore through the night, turning a swarm of undead to ash in an instant. With a flick of his wrist, he manipulated the magnetic field around the Sand Ninja employees, lifting them into the air and carrying them to safety.

"Hey," he called out, landing lightly on the Hokage Tower. "Where's your shelter? I need to drop them off."

Shizune immediately took charge, guiding the terrified civilians away. With them safe, Tsunade turned back to Mufasa.

"Mufasa, tell me you've got a plan."

The urgency in her voice was clear.

The village was in danger, and they were running out of options. Kakashi and a group of younger shinobi—including Kiba, Choji, and Hinata—had already rushed to defend the gates, but they were heavily outnumbered.

And worse—

Three massive bolts of lightning suddenly illuminated the sky. Crackling with raw power, they surged toward the center of Konoha, converging into a devastating force.

The Limelight was nearly complete.

Mufasa's eyes locked onto the fourth bolt rising from the ground.

No time to think.

"Tsunade," he said, cracking his knuckles. "You better start praying I'm as tough as I think I am."

Without another word, he shot into the sky, heading straight for the point where the lightning would collide.

"You can handle things down here, right?" he called back.

Tsunade's hands balled into fists as she watched him go.

"You better not die up there!" she shouted.

Mufasa grinned. "Not planning on it!"

And with that, he was gone—racing toward the heart of the storm.

...

The night was deep, the sky above Konoha painted an endless black.

Four massive bolts of lightning slashed through the darkness like blades, dividing the sky into four pieces. At the center where they converged, an immense sphere of light pulsed like a second moon, radiating power that sent waves of unease through the village.

The ordinary citizens of Konoha stared in fear, their eyes locked onto the brilliant, unnatural glow above them. The air crackled with static, the sheer energy raising the hairs on their bodies. A feeling of impending doom settled over them.

At the village gates, the battle raged on.

Kakashi moved like a blur, pulling Hinata back just in time as an undead creature swiped at her. "Stay focused!" he commanded. "We can't afford any mistakes. Hold the line!"

The undead army swarmed forward, relentless. Their bodies, once defeated, crumbled into mud only to reform and rise again. It was an endless cycle, an exhausting battle that drained even the most experienced shinobi. Hinata, Choji, and Lee fought valiantly, their exhaustion clear, but they refused to falter.

Kakashi watched them with pride. They were holding their ground, but it wasn't enough. His gaze flickered upward, toward the true threat.

The sky was burning with lightning. The infamous forbidden technique—Limelight—was nearing completion. The energy at the center had reached its peak. Any second now, it would unleash devastation upon Konoha, reducing everything to ash.

"Damn it!" Kakashi clenched his fists. "How do we stop it?!" There was no answer. All they could do was fight. "Hokage-sama, please… find a way."

From the Hokage Tower, Tsunade watched the scene unfold, her expression grim. She had made a mistake. Too many jonin had been sent out on missions. She had underestimated the enemy's strategy. Was this truly orchestrated by the Daimyo?

No. Someone else was pulling the strings.

Her hands tightened into fists as she forced herself to focus. There was no time for regret. The village needed her to act. "Evacuate all civilians to the underground shelters! Reinforce the defensive squads at the gates! We hold out as long as we can!"

Still, she knew the truth. No matter how strong their forces were, they couldn't stop what was coming from the sky.

The only one who could was Mufasa.

High above, Mufasa hovered in the air, the powerful magnetic field around him keeping him steady. His gaze locked onto the storm of lightning gathering above. If this jutsu completed its attack, Konoha wouldn't just be damaged—it would be annihilated.

He could see it now: the sheer power would strike the ground like a divine punishment, leveling the village in an instant. Nothing would remain but scorched earth.

Mufasa narrowed his eyes. "Not happening."

He clapped his hands together, summoning the power of his chakra. Above him, multiple glowing orbs of energy appeared—three thousand Nature energy powered Judgement Eyes and three thousand Chakra energy-powered Judgement Eyes. They spun in unison, forming a massive, intricate structure that hummed with energy.

The sky trembled.

Then, it happened.

A deafening crack tore through the air as the built-up energy in the storm above reached critical mass. The sky itself seemed to rip apart, and from the core of the storm, a colossal pillar of lightning descended toward the village.

A tidal wave of light engulfed everything.

Tsunade, Kakashi, and the people of Konoha all turned their eyes to the sky, breath caught in their throats.

"It's coming…!"

Time seemed to slow. The destructive force of the lightning beam was unlike anything they had ever seen. It wasn't just an attack—it was judgment itself.

Mufasa raised his hands. The glowing orbs spun faster, aligning perfectly as they absorbed the incoming lightning. But the energy was overwhelming. As soon as the first wave of electricity made contact, half of the orbs shattered instantly.

His heart pounded. "Damn, that's intense!"

He clapped his hands again. "Not enough? Then let's go bigger."

Lightning crackled up his arms, merging with the remaining orbs. The fragmented pieces began reforming, fusing into something greater. The energy above twisted and condensed, forming a single, massive silver eye in the sky.

On the ground, Kazuma watched in shock from the shadows of the forest. "What the hell is that?!" This wasn't in any of his calculations. He had planned for Konoha's defenses, for their strongest shinobi, even for interference from the Hokage—but this? This was something else entirely.

The silver eye in the sky opened wide. The lightning pillars that had been pouring down toward the village were now flowing into it instead, being devoured by the massive chakra construct.

It was like a bottomless pit, absorbing everything.

Kazuma's hands clenched. "Impossible! That jutsu should be unstoppable!"

But it was happening. Mufasa was pulling in every last drop of the Limelight's energy, containing it within his massive Judgement eye. Yet, even as he did, he could feel the strain. This power was more than even he had anticipated.

He needed more.

His voice boomed across the battlefield. "Tsunade! I need something big! Something from your village to boost this thing's capacity!"

Tsunade didn't hesitate. "Take whatever you need! Just stop that thing!"
