Chapter 343 - Chapter 344: A Little Shock for the Elves

Chapter 344: A Little Shock for the Elves

"George, I didn't expect that what Second Brother and Third Brother said was true. Where did you learn all that magic?"

On the way out of the palace, Kull Galadriel pulled Lucy along to walk beside George and asked him.

Based on the strength George had displayed in the palace, she could still defeat him for now, but if he improved a hundredfold, she definitely wouldn't be able to beat him.

So she was very curious where a human like George had learned so many powerful spells.

"Well, how should I put it? A mysterious person taught me, but I don't really know who he is."

George replied casually.

He had no way to explain it, so he just made something up.

Anyway, no one could expose the lie.

Even if he said it was Ilúvatar who taught him, as long as Ilúvatar didn't come out to deny it, no one could prove otherwise.

"A mysterious person... could it be Oromë Aldaron, the God of the Hunt? I heard he often travels across Middle-earth."

Kull Galadriel analyzed doubtfully:

"But I haven't heard that he's proficient in this kind of light and giant magic. Could it be some other deity?"

"George, that little story you told was very interesting. Was it true, or did you make it up? Do you have any other similar stories?"

Lucien had no interest in magic or combat, but she was very intrigued by the little story George told about Snaga in the cavern. She had never heard such a fun story before.

"That... I heard it from someone else."

George's eyes shifted:

"We have lots of stories like that where I come from. If you're interested, you can come visit our school, and I'll tell you more little by little.

For example, there's another one called Snaga Gazing at the Sky from the Cavern."

"Snaga Gazing at the Sky from the Cavern?"

Lucien's beautiful eyes sparkled with curiosity.

George began speaking slowly:

"One day, a Snaga was working inside a cavern when suddenly a bat transformed into a vampire and dropped from the sky.

It said to the working Snaga: 'I flew more than a thousand li and I'm thirsty. Go fetch me some blood.'

The Snaga, who had never left the cavern, looked completely disbelieving and replied: 'Don't talk nonsense. The opening above the cavern is only that big—why would you need to fly that far?'

The vampire burst into laughter: 'You ignorant orc-half, the sky is boundless and vast!'

The Snaga grinned stupidly and retorted: 'I work in this cavern every day. Every time I look up, I see the sky. I couldn't be mistaken.'

The vampire cursed: 'You fool. If you don't believe me, just wait until the day you march out with our army to fight the elves. Then you'll see.'"

"I get it. This story is similar in meaning to the one you told in the palace. They both try to convey the idea of limited perspective and narrow understanding."

Lucien's silver-bell laughter rang out, and the elven noble heirs who were seeking to marry her all widened their eyes in astonishment.

They had never seen Princess Lucien so happy. Unfortunately, her laughter wasn't because of them, but because of a mere human.

Well, this human was indeed a little extraordinary—"mere" might not be the right word anymore.

"Princess Lucien, you're very smart."

George gave Lucien a thumbs-up.

Of course she got it—one was a frog at the bottom of a well, and the other was gazing at the sky from inside a cavern. He had simply adapted it to better suit this world's background so it would be easier for the people here to understand.

He wasn't chatting with Lucien to flirt, but rather to attract her to visit his school for magical exchange.

Lucien was even stronger than Kull Galadriel. She carried the bloodline of a Maia and one of the first Elf Kings. Her enchantments could even hypnotize Morgoth, and she had inherited the true legacy of Melian.

If she could become a teacher at the school, it would benefit both the students and himself tremendously.

Lucien, like a curious child, raised her own thumb:

"Is this gesture a sign of intelligence among you humans?"

"Mm, you could say that."

George nodded with a smile.

Lucien pointed her thumb at George:

"You're smart too. You humans are such an interesting race."

"This guy... he's not thinking of wooing my daughter, is he?!"

On the side, Thingol saw his daughter Lucien smiling so happily beside George, and a dangerous expression instantly appeared on his face.

If his precious daughter fell in love with a human, he would never accept it.

Even if this human were a hero with immense magical power—it still wouldn't be acceptable.

Because humans only live for a few short decades, while elves are immortal. Once the human dies, his daughter would be heartbroken beyond bearing.

Elves can die in two ways: one is being slain, and the other is losing the will to live—then their souls would also depart and return to the halls of Mandos.

To put it even more bluntly, even if a human and an elf die together for love, their souls still can't meet in the halls of Mandos.

The souls of humans do not belong to Mandos after death; they go directly to Ilúvatar.

Fortunately, his thoughts didn't last long, as they had already arrived outside the palace of the Thousand-Stone Cavern.

The grey elves outside, upon seeing King Thingol and the major elven nobles appearing together inside the city, all gathered around curiously.

"George, you may display your magic now."

Thingol addressed George.

This time, he no longer called him "human," but referred to him by name.

Clearly, George's display of power earlier had earned his respect.

"I'm going to perform the full-size transformation spell of Giant Magic!"

Magical formations lit up on George's body, and he began to expand rapidly, soon transforming into a hundred-meter-tall giant.

He clapped his hands together in front of him, and the force of the resulting gust scattered the clouds in the sky.

It was easy to imagine how powerful a single punch from him would be.

"He's huge! He reminds me of Tulkas, the God of War. Could it be that Tulkas taught him magic?!"

Kull Galadriel looked at the hundred-meter-tall George and couldn't help exclaiming loudly.

She had once heard her grandfather say that Tulkas, the God of War, could transform into a giant tens of thousands of meters tall in battle.

During the first battle of the gods against Morgoth, it was Tulkas who dealt a heavy blow to Morgoth and used the divine chain Angainor, forged by Aulë, to bind Morgoth and bring him back to Valinor for judgment.

Aside from Kull Galadriel, all the other elves present, including Thingol, were equally stunned.

"Exchange! We must have an exchange!"

If even a human could learn such powerful magic, then surely the elves could as well.

However, the shock George gave to the elves was far from over.

"I heard that the Valley of Death is filled with dark creatures born of Morgoth. Then today, I shall turn the Valley of Death into a Valley of Light!"

George, still in his giant form, brought his hands together:

"Light Magic: Law of the Fairy!"
