At that moment, Penelope looked at her son with a calm but sharp face. She crossed her arms slowly and let out a tired breath.
"Ramos," she said, "you need to calm down. Just stop for a minute and think."
But Ramos wasn't listening. He was too angry. His hands were shaking by his sides. His chest moved up and down fast like someone who just ran.
Penelope continued, "We can't just rush into this. We need to be smart. If Jerry really has someone inside Global Investments helping him… then maybe Jerry isn't who we thought he was."
Ramos turned to her, his face full of fire. "What are you even saying, Mum?"
Penelope's voice was steady. "I'm saying we don't know who that boy is. We need to find out first. We need to know the full truth before we act."
But Ramos stepped forward. His jaw tightened. His teeth clenched. "That's nonsense," he snapped. "Jerry doesn't have anything. He's a nobody. I swear, Mum, there's no way he has any big connection."
