The growing seriousness in Ada's tone deepened the frown on Arabella, "Well, what is it then if not that?"
Ada relinquished her quill inside the ink jar then placed her hands flat together on the table, "The reason it was decided that feeding and blood donation sessions be held two weeks apart from each other wasn't simply for the wellbeing of the providers alone," she paused, biting on her bottom lip a little, "It was also because vampires, even older ones, can't go without a drop of blood for longer than that,"
"Oh dear…," Arabella's hand skipped to her chest, "What happens to them if they do? Is it dangerous? Do they fall ill?" she quizzed, her full attention on Ada.
"Well, yes, but not exactly for the reasons you might think. If deprived of feeding for very long, they will most certainly fall ill eventually, but not at the beginning," the maid then went quiet and looked down at her notebook.
"Ada, please! My nerves can't handle it,"
