Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 : 500 Million Ryo

"Mr. Naruto, your monthly profits for this month are currently at 500 million Ryo," Masato said with a smile.

"With that kind of money, you could eat as much ramen as you want—for the rest of your life."

"Really?!" Naruto's eyes sparkled like stars.

"You mean I can eat all the ramen I want—forever?!"

Hearing those words, Naruto felt like his dream had finally come true.

"Yes, you can. And if you'd like, I can directly transfer all the money to your bank account," Masato offered politely.

" Bank account? I don't think I have one."

Masato blinked.

"Ah, no worries. I've already created one for you. There's a branch in Konoha—you can withdraw money from there whenever you need."

Masato then gave Naruto detailed instructions on how to access his account and withdraw funds.

After explaining everything in detail, Masato quickly took his leave.

'I really don't want to be caught up in another life-threatening moment again…' Masato thought as he left in a hurry.

Naruto, meanwhile, was practically drooling at the idea of unlimited ramen.

"Man, I can't wait to get back to the village!" he grinned.

He imagined walking into Ichiraku Ramen, pulling out a thick wad of bills, and placing it dramatically on the counter.

"Uncle Teuchi, I'll take your entire stock!"

Just imagining the scene made Naruto feel like he'd stepped into heaven.

Snapping out of his fantasy, Naruto opened his panel. It had been a while, and he was curious to check on his progress.

Naruto smirked as he reviewed the stats.

"Hmm… at this rate, I'll unlock the Nara clan's bloodline soon, too."

"And now I've got the next one I wanted!"

He looked at the sample section, which now also contained Haku's DNA.

He had collected it out of curiosity—he hadn't known Haku possessed Ice Release at the time.

But After seeing Ice Release, Naruto had made up his mind.

"This bloodline… is way too cool to pass up."

And so, Naruto continued his training in the Land of Waves while the bridge construction neared completion.

The day finally arrived.

The bridge was complete.

The proud structure spanned across the sea—a symbol of hope and freedom for the Land of Waves.

Tazuna stood on the edge of the bridge, looking out at his creation with misty eyes.

Then, turning to Team 7, he spoke:

"You kids… you didn't just protect me. You gave this country something more valuable than gold—you gave us courage."

"This bridge isn't just wood and nails—it's proof that we don't have to bow to tyrants like Gato anymore."

He looked at Naruto, then at the others.

"I called you a brat once… but now, I see a hero."

"Thank you. All of you. From the bottom of my heart."

He gave a deep bow.

The villagers nearby clapped and cheered—some in tears—as the heroes of the Land of Waves prepared to return home.

With a final wave, Team 7 set off on their journey back to Konoha.

As they walked away from the village, Naruto couldn't help but glance back one last time.

A wide grin spread across his face as he saw the villagers cheering and smiling around the newly built bridge—a symbol of hope and change.

Land of Water – Hidden Mist Village

A thick mist blanketed the horizon like a restless ghost refusing to fade.

Perched on a jagged rock overlooking the village, Zabuza Momochi sat in silence, his sharp eyes gazing over the Hidden Mist as if seeing it for the first time.

The air was cold. Damp. Familiar.

Drip. Drip.

Tears trailed down his cheeks, slow and reluctant, as if his pride still tried to hold them back. His expression, usually stern and monstrous, was etched with quiet despair.

In that moment, the Demon of the Mist looked more like a man burdened by fate than a blood-soaked legend.

Just beside him, Ao stood awkwardly, arms folded, watching the unexpected scene unfold. He had seen Zabuza cleave men in half without blinking. But this—this was new.

"Z-Zabuza… are you crying?" Ao stammered. "See? You do have a heart. No matter what everyone says about you being a demon… I always believed there was a human in there."

Zabuza sniffed, his voice dry and biting.

"Yeah… that's what poor people have instead of money."

Ao was stunned. He had come to offer sympathy, but Zabuza's punchlines hit harder than his sword today.

The silence between them stretched… until Zabuza suddenly clenched his fists.

"Damn that bitch Temuri Mei… sob sob… I swear I'll take my revenge!"

It all began a week ago, when Zabuza returned to the Hidden Mist with Haku by his side.

He had expected resistance… perhaps even a skirmish or two.

But to his surprise, infiltrating the village was very easy this time.

Confident and smug, he wandered the streets like a shadow, gathering information, piecing together the state of the village.

His heart surged with excitement. The time for his second coup was near.

But then came the news.

The Fourth Mizukage was dead.

Had been for years.

In his place now stood Temuri Mei, acting Mizukage.

Just like that, the years of planning, the endless fund collection, the quiet recruitment… felt meaningless. Zabuza stared at the walls of his old village.

"I waited a decade to kill that bastard… and now he's already rotting in the dirt."

Still, all was not lost. He had money. A lot of it. Enough to buy loyalty, respect… maybe even the title of Mizukage.

If the coup was unnecessary now, perhaps a political route was faster.

With new resolve, he arranged a secret meeting with an elder.

He came prepared—with flattery, promises, and a suitcase stacked with more cash than most villagers would see in a lifetime.

But as he finished his grand pitch, confident in his persuasion, the "elder" across from him leaned forward—smiling.

An suddenly a women came from the side

"You finished?" she asked.

His blood ran cold when he saw the woman.

It was Temuri Mei herself.

The acting Mizukage had been sitting there the whole time, listening patiently to his treasonous plan. And that wasn't even the worst part.

The moment he had stepped into the village, ANBU had already been tracking his every move.

The next day, all his money—every last ryo—was confiscated in the name of "village rebuilding efforts."

The official decree said:

"The Hidden Mist, having suffered decades under the Bloody Mist era, graciously accepts Zabuza Momochi's generous donation toward peace, reconstruction, and healing."

Even the press release had the audacity to thank him.

And now… he was broke.

Back on the cliffside, Zabuza stood up slowly, his eyes bloodshot but defiant. Ao still didn't know what to say.

"Do you… want me to talk to Mei on your behalf? Maybe they can give you some of your money back," he offered weakly.

"No," Zabuza said sternly. "I trained in silent killing for years… turns out my bank account was the only thing that died silently."

Is he going insane? Ao was confused by the random gibberish Zabuza was spouting today.
