Yan Xinxin heard Mira's impatient voice coming from outside the door, accompanied by the sound of a key trying to unlock it.
She vaguely heard a "click" sound and thought the door was about to open, but the apartment door remained tightly shut.
Yan Xinxin walked to the door and tried turning the handle again, but it still wouldn't budge at all.
"Bang bang bang!"
"Yan Xinxin, why did you lock the door? Open it quickly!"
Mira's annoyed voice came from the other side of the door as she pounded on it furiously.
Yan Xinxin furrowed her brow.
"I didn't lock the door. I can't even turn the handle from inside."
"How is that even possible?"
Mira immediately rejected that idea, her tone carrying a hint of sarcasm.
"Yan Xinxin, don't tell me you simply don't know how to open it?"
"Are you insulting my intelligence or yours? Do you really think I don't know how to open a door?"
Yan Xinxin retorted, annoyed herself.
The other side of the door seemed to fall silent.
