"It's me, not your brother Easton."
Before Lily Turner could even say hello after picking up the phone, Evelyn Taylor had already started speaking on the other end.
But without waiting for Evelyn to finish, Lily interrupted with a calm tone.
Upon hearing Lily's voice, Evelyn, who was already fuming with anger, immediately snapped, "Lily Turner! Who gave you the right to answer Easton's phone?"
Although posed as a question, her tone was accusatory and full of blame.
"My husband asked me to answer his call," Lily replied confidently. Her firm tone completely deceived Evelyn, and before she could react, Lily continued, "Why have you been calling my husband so persistently?"
Lily had just been in the bathroom showering, completely unaware of what was happening outside. Seeing Evelyn repeatedly calling Easton Holmes' phone, she assumed Evelyn had no real business and was just seeking attention.
