A team of riders burst out from the gate, splitting into two groups and standing on either side. Following them were twelve members, escorting six burly men who stood in front of the gate.
Tong Airui clasped his hands behind his back, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he watched Kai Di approach from afar, running closer and closer.
Kai Di charged to the gate with her people. When she saw the scene before her, her eyes blazed as she glared at Tong Airui, "Release my men!"
Tong Airui chuckled, "I thought your first words would be, 'Give me back my brother.'"
"Airui Aldrich! I'll kill you!"
"One life for seven lives—sounds like a fair trade to me." Tong Airui shrugged and stepped closer to Kai Di, one deliberate step at a time.
Kai Di's gaze fell on the six men behind Tong Airui, their heads pressed against gun barrels. Her eye twitched, and her sight slowly shifted to the ground, where her second brother lay in a pool of blood.
