The two of them looked at each other and couldn't help but sigh. It's been just a little while since graduation, and such a thing has happened, leaving one lamenting.
"By the way, did you see the news about Lyra Grant's father?" Alice Conley asked.
"I saw it," Mabel Quinn replied.
"I don't know how Lyra Grant is doing; there's no news about her now. Her family is in trouble, and I heard that some people who usually have a good relationship with her are eager to distance themselves from her. Sometimes, thinking about it, people can really be very pragmatic," Alice paused and then looked at Mabel, "Mabel, what do you think will happen to us in the future?"
Perhaps it was what Evelyn said earlier that prompted this question from her.
Mabel Quinn smiled, looking at her friend in front of her, "Friends for life."
Alice Conley's eyes reddened slightly, "Yes, friends for life!"
