Suppressing the discomfort in her heart, Titus Zane lifted the corners of her lips, seemingly a habit developed from her "work" over the years, always accustomed to showing a smile when communicating with others.
"Mom, I just found a job..."
"Oh? Where?" Titus Zane hadn't finished speaking when Ariana Evans interrupted, sounding eager.
Taken aback for a moment, Titus Zane lifted her lips again, "In Banyan City,"
"Oh," Ariana Evans's tone returned to normal, sounding very affectionate over the phone, "What job is it, Titus, don't work too hard, and if you're not happy, come back, Mom will take care of you."
Titus Zane laughed, grumbling, "Mom, how old am I, and you still want to take care of me!"
"What's wrong with that, you're my daughter!"
If it were before, Titus Zane would have been moved to tears, but since having that DNA test, suddenly, everything about Ariana Evans seemed so hypocritical.
