Wesley Foley's hands gently grasped Titus Zane's, his pale and slender fingers interlaced between Titus's, swinging softly. His downcast phoenix eyes concealed the emotion within, and a hint of a smile curved his lips as Titus heard him say.
"At such an age, how could one have not experienced it," Wesley paused as he spoke, and Titus saw his smile turn bitter. Titus felt a stir in his heart, then listened to him sigh and continue.
"Ah, it's that I've always been engrossed in work, engrossed in research, neglecting that there are more important things beyond work," Wesley said, then lifted his phoenix eyes to meet Titus's gaze, his expression serious, word by word.
