Chapter 139 - Chapter 139

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, there was less than a week left until Akio's Divine Coronation Ceremony.

With the official lifting of the Sakoku Decree, Inazuma had gradually become more lively, no longer as desolate as it once was.

Countless adventurers, journalists, and travelers, hearing that Inazuma had opened its borders, rushed to the nation in droves.

Wealthy merchants and political figures also made their way to Inazuma, eager to catch a glimpse of the new god and establish good relations with the nation.

Journalists, in particular, flocked to Inazuma from newspapers across the continent. The coronation of a new god was undoubtedly the most sensational topic, and every newspaper was vying to be the first to get the scoop.

The Kanjou Commission, responsible for foreign affairs, was overwhelmed. With the lifting of the Sakoku Decree and the upcoming coronation, a flood of people had poured into Inazuma. Fortunately, Inazuma City and Ritou were large enough, and Raiden Makoto had made preparations in advance to accommodate the influx.

Inside the Kanjou Commission's office, Hiiragi Chisato was swamped with work. She had been working non-stop for days. With the Sakoku Decree just lifted, the number of tasks in Inazuma had skyrocketed.

Kujou Sara, meanwhile, was leading the Shogun's soldiers on patrols throughout Inazuma. With so many people around, maintaining order was crucial, and the Tenryou Commission was responsible for keeping the peace.

The Yashiro Commission was also busy. All matters related to the coronation ceremony fell under their jurisdiction, and both Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka were fully occupied.

Not only were the three commissions working around the clock, but even in Tenshukaku, Raiden Makoto and the others were buried under mountains of paperwork.

Even Yae Miko and Kitsune Saiguu had been pulled in to help with administrative tasks. All affairs at the Grand Narukami Shrine had been handed over to Kuki Miyuki and Hanachirusato.

Akio, on the other hand, had a bit more freedom. He would wander around various places—the three commissions, the Grand Narukami Shrine, and Tenshukaku. After all, they were all his wives, and he would visit one place each day to help with the workload.

Today, Akio had come to the Kanjou Commission to assist Hiiragi Chisato with her tasks.

The two of them had finally managed to get through the mountain of paperwork from the morning.

Akio stretched lazily. He didn't feel constrained at all; instead, he felt more fulfilled. Helping his wives manage the affairs of their nation made his life more interesting. Moreover, Akio was free—Raiden Makoto didn't require him to handle administrative tasks. It was Akio himself who couldn't bear to see his wives overworked.

"Wah~ Master, I haven't had time to spend with you these past few days," Hiiragi Chisato said, throwing the last document onto the table and throwing herself into Akio's arms. She had been exhausted these past few days! Even with the power of a Pseudo-Herrscher, she felt physically and mentally drained.

"Do you regret becoming the Kanjou Commissioner?" Akio asked with a light laugh.

"Of course not!" Hiiragi Chisato shook her head. "This is our Inazuma. I want to see it become more beautiful, more prosperous, and ensure that the people live in peace and happiness. That's all I want."

Hiiragi Chisato's thoughts were simple. This was the Shogun's and Akio's Inazuma, and she wanted to see it thrive. She wanted every citizen to have enough to eat and live a good life, and she was working hard toward that goal.

"Good," Akio said with a gentle smile. Inazuma was his home in this world, and he naturally wanted it to flourish.

"With the coronation ceremony and the lifting of the Sakoku Decree, things have been hectic," Akio said. "Once the coronation is over and the commotion from the decree's lifting settles down, Inazuma will return to normal. Then you can take a good rest, and I'll take you to the Lantern Rite in Liyue."

"Okay~" Hiiragi Chisato nodded. As long as Akio was by her side, she felt like she had the strength of a hundred people!

Hiiragi Chisato was looking forward to Akio taking her to the Lantern Rite. She had always wanted to visit the bustling nation of Liyue.

Knock knock knock… A knocking sound came from outside.

Hiiragi Chisato quickly got up from Akio's lap. After all, this was the Kanjou Commission. If outsiders saw her like this, her authority as the Commissioner would be completely undermined.

"Come in," Hiiragi Chisato said, sitting up straight.

After receiving permission, the person outside opened the door and entered. It was a samurai from the Kanjou Commission.

"Your Excellency, Commissioner, the delegation from Liyue has arrived and is waiting in the VIP room," the samurai reported with a bow.

"Oh? Liyue arrived first?" Akio asked with interest. "Who's leading the delegation?"

"Reporting to Your Excellency, it's the Tianquan, Ningguang, and the Yuheng, Keqing, of the Liyue Qixing," the samurai replied promptly.

"It's them," Akio nodded. "Alright, we'll be there shortly."

"Yes, Your Excellency!" The samurai bowed and left.

"Keqing? The one you said was your lover in Liyue?" Hiiragi Chisato asked curiously.

"Yes," Akio smiled and nodded. "I knew Keqing would come this time, but I didn't expect Ningguang to come as well."

"It's been so long since you last saw her. She must have missed you terribly," Hiiragi Chisato said.

"By the way, Master, if in the future all of us sisters are in different nations, wouldn't it be a long time before we could see each other?" Hiiragi Chisato asked.

"The pain of not being able to see your loved one is truly unbearable," she added, shaking her head.

"You make a good point," Akio mused, stroking his chin. Right, his future wives would likely be spread across all seven nations. He couldn't possibly run around all seven countries by himself, could he?

Clones? That would just be cuckolding himself! Who came up with such a ridiculous idea?

"Chisato, what if I used spatial power to create a network of portals? Each of you would have a token as a key to these portals, and all the portals would connect to a spatial anchor I set up," Akio suggested. "That way, you could quickly reach me. What do you think?"

Akio thought this was a feasible solution. With his power, he could create a vast spatial network. Besides allowing quick travel, he was also considering whether something like a smartphone from his previous life could be possible.

The power of the Herrscher would allow Akio to create smartphones, but the issue of base stations…

Akio felt he still needed to think about it. It was a challenging problem.

Akio wanted to create a chat group for him and his wives, a "smartphone" that could enable long-distance calls and video chats.

"Forget it, I'll think about it later. For now, let's go see Keqing," Akio thought to himself. It had been a long time since he last saw Keqing, and he missed her terribly!

His tsundere girlfriend Keqing—a little bit of tsundere, but not the annoying kind. She knew her limits, and her slight tsundere nature only made her more adorable.
