Chapter 8: The Heritage of a Century-Old Company

According to the intelligence Linglong uncovered—

Some of the kidnapped Latin American girls were to be sent to a secret party.

The party's attendees were all New York elites, including celebrities and A-listers. Apparently, Jiang Feng's cheap boss, Justin Hammer, was among them.

Even some active government officials would go there to indulge.

The party was the height of extravagance and decadence, held regularly.

All sorts of unspeakable acts were openly committed there—an orgy of self-indulgence.

And the Latin American girls, of course, were nothing more than tools for this depravity.

In addition to that—

Another batch of the "goods" was to be delivered to a company called United Construction.

The client was a mysterious group—

Primarily composed of Asians, with strange behavior and an eerie vibe.

Even the snakehead gang was wary of them, knowing little beyond the surface.

They only knew the group's smuggling demand was massive. Once the girls were handed over to United Construction, none of them were ever seen again.

The Adidas tracksuit gang didn't know what United Construction needed the girls for.

They were just in it for the money—delivering human cargo on a regular basis.

However, based on Linglong's findings, the organization behind United Construction was likely the infamous group known as The Hand.

Jiang Feng maintained his x-ray vision.

Soon—

With Linglong's help, he had locked onto all of the criminals present.

This group was clearly more disciplined than the drug dealers from before.

Every one of them was armed, completely sober, and on high alert. It was obvious they were well-trained and came prepared.

But against Jiang Feng's beyond-normal-level weaponry—

Even the most elite criminals were still doomed. None had the qualifications to survive a single round of his assault.

"Targets locked—eleven in total."

With x-ray vision and the aid of his half-suit Iron Man armor, Jiang Feng opened fire. The shots were soft—but devastating.

A sharp, crisp sound echoed—

Needle-like armor-piercing rounds shot through walls from dozens of meters away, killing every one of them.

Whether they were standing guard, holding guns—

Or herding the girls like cattle—

Each criminal dropped instantly, without a chance to respond.

The expressions on the faces of the Adidas thugs froze in place—there wasn't even panic or shock. It was as if they didn't even realize they were dead, still thinking about the money.

Each man had a wound the size of a ballpoint pen hole, cleanly piercing the skull and destroying the brain.

Eleven wounds, bleeding simultaneously.

But against the salty sea breeze, the smell of blood wasn't obvious.

With another efficient takedown, Jiang Feng didn't even get a drop of blood on him. A modest amount of experience and Reincarnation Points entered his tally.

"Ahhh!"

The kidnapped Latin American girls—

Seeing the criminals suddenly drop dead, without having heard a sound, screamed in terror as if they'd seen ghosts in the night.

Eleven strong men had collapsed at once, without making a single noise.

The eerie sight was beyond anything the girls had ever known.

They wanted to run in fear, but each one had shackles on their wrists, chained together.

Under panic, they instinctively tried to flee in all directions, but the chains kept pulling them back, binding them in place.

In the chaos, the girls couldn't move freely at all.

At that moment—

The culprit who had wiped out the criminals, Jiang Feng, silently emerged.

Under the frightened gazes of the Latin girls, he slowly approached, without saying a word.

Shing!

Blades extended from his armored arm.

With a graceful flick and the sound of metal clashing, he precisely sliced through every shackle, setting them all free.

"You're free now."

Jiang Feng said flatly—though he added silently in his mind: "Maybe."

Still, he didn't interfere further. Saving them was already more than enough.

No sooner had he spoken than he turned to leave.

"Wait, hero! Before you go—please tell us your name!"

The girls, just rescued casually by Jiang Feng—

Now realized this strange man was their savior.

Shivering and huddled together on the cold, dark shore, they looked at him with gratitude and awe.

"If you meet the police, just say Iron Man saved you."

Rescuing hostages wasn't his real goal—it was just something he did along the way.

Facing their pleading eyes, Jiang Feng answered casually.

Then—

His figure vanished into the night once more, continuing to hunt the human monsters of Hell's Kitchen.

"Iron Man…"

All that remained at the scene were the rescued girls—

Still murmuring that name.

Though Jiang Feng had said it offhandedly, each one of them etched it deeply into their hearts.

Over the next few hours—

Jiang Feng barely stopped, continuously hunting.

In one go, he wiped out nearly a hundred criminals, leaving behind fresh corpses all across Hell's Kitchen.

The sheer number of criminals in this world shocked Jiang Feng.

It seemed like just within Hell's Kitchen alone—

The number of thugs could rival half of Night City.

Criminals were endlessly respawning, like video game mobs—popping out of every dark alley.

As Jiang Feng thought about it—

He realized why.

After all, Marvel Comics was a company nearly a century old, with an endless list of characters.

A comic that had lasted this long—

Naturally had to produce countless storylines, supported by an endless stream of villains.

After decades of creation by comic writers—

The Marvel universe had no shortage of villains. Every so often, a new batch would surface.

From petty street thugs to cosmic gods—

Mutants, aliens, prehistoric monsters, intergalactic insectoids…

Every villain type you could think of existed. There was nothing Marvel's world couldn't offer.

Just the named characters in Marvel or DC alone—

Could probably rival half the characters in all of Japanese manga combined.

Of course—

For Jiang Feng, this was a good thing.

Reincarnators gained Reincarnation Points by killing lifeforms.

Plus, with his extra system, every battle also gave EXP for his professions.

He was more than happy to see villains appear.

They were his targets—fuel for his growth—more useful than any hero.

By around 3:00 AM—

Even in bustling New York, the streets had quieted.

"It's getting late. Time to head back for a short rest."

After butchering so many criminals—

Jiang Feng finally stopped his bloody spree. He checked his modestly increased EXP and Reincarnation Points.

Then he silently stowed away his Iron Man armor—

And changed outfits in an instant.

A small trick among Reincarnators—

As long as you had your gear pre-packed, you could switch clothes with a single thought.

Faster than a Kamen Rider transformation.

Jiang Feng's figure slowly emerged from a side alley, leaving Hell's Kitchen behind as he headed back to the apartment he rented in New York.

Once again, he looked like a harmless, nerdy guy with glasses—

No trace of blood or violence on him.

No one would ever suspect—

That all the bloody crimes in Hell's Kitchen just now…

Were committed by this young man from Hammer Industries.
