Sophia's hand trembled as she gripped her phone.
Liam had actually said she was disgusting.
Before, he had already called her a clown.
Now he'd taken it even further—disgusting? Really?
Tears welled in Sophia's eyes from a cocktail of rage and humiliation.
All she did was push back a little after what Ava did to her—how did that make her disgusting?
Her voice shook as she called out, "Liam, do you even know what Ava did to me today?"
Liam didn't say a word. His lips pressed into a flat, unreadable line.
Sophia choked back a sob, her voice cracking. "I was out shopping, having a good day. But then Ava cornered me in a public restroom, shoved my face into a mop, and tried to force my head into a toilet stall! I've never been treated like that in my entire life!"
Her sobs turned into full-blown weeping.
The more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt.
Sure, she might've insulted Ava—just a few harmless comments!
But Ava had gotten physical. Violent even.
